Mage talents
Master of the Arcane 15% spell damage increase, dont need to say any more.
Mental Agility 3% haste per light armour equipped = 18% haste total, everyone
loves it.
Focused Mind 6% crit, increases the chance to smack big.
Essence of Magic- 1% mana regen on basic attack, should be about 44 mana
good for fighting tanks or anyone hard to kill. Or when in PvE/mobbing if youre
too lazy to take a potion.
Boiling Point 40% dps boost to boiling blood, 65% total damage per tick. Boiling
blood is one of your main weapons.
Focus 5% crit boost, increases the chance to smack big and gives the buff to
everyone in group.
Pyromania 20% crit boost to incinerate, the main attack you will be using when
fighting.
Scald 4second duration increase to boiling blood, makes it last for 10 seconds.
Good for picking off low level noobs with low hp.
Breakdown 2second duration increase to despair, silences for 5 seconds now as
opposed to 3.
Icy Touch 3second duration increase to frostbite, snares for 6 seconds as
opposed to 3.
Plasma Shield your main defence. 10 damage absorbed for 1 mana upto 10%
of max mana. (4000 damage = 400mana if 4k mana is your max pool). Note,
does not affect bleeds.

Flame Buffet 3 second stun to ignite, your only stun and heavy hitter.
Nightmare 15% dps boost after using miasma, dont need to say anything else.
Miasma teleporter, good for escaping melee classes. And if you need to escape
when PvEing.
Arcane Wrath 25% damage boost, no need to say anything else.
Invocation 8% haste, everyone loves it.
Blazing Embers 10%/tick for 3 second bleed of incinerate damage, a small
bleed but useful.
Void Portal 50% dps every 1.5seconds, useful in any fight. Dont feel bad if its
a 1v1 its a talent so use it anyways and be a prick.
Fissure 30% boost to caldera from erupt, bring it upto 55%/tick.
Apocalypse 50%boost to ignite, makes it even more powerful.
Starlight regens mana, dont need to fully cast unless you want the dps boost.
Useful in every scenario.
Dragon's Breath although a spell suited better for PvE. One or two ticks of it
can cause serious damage in pvp.

Prophet talents
Infused Healing 10% revitalize healing boost, useful for after a kill and trying to
survive the bleeds or when standing there tanking.
Focused Healing 10% overall healing boost, dont need to say any more its just
good.
Empowered Healing 6% haste, everyone loves haste.

Gems/gear/potions
Gems
Depends on what you have trouble with the most. I personally slot
2opal:2diamond:2melee and it suits me fine.

Gear
Light armour obviously. The choice is now whether to use a 1h+shield or staff..
the staff will give you more dps however you will lack defences and armour
which is why I personally use a 1h+shield.

Potions
Hp/mana/stamina potions

Spells to buy

Fighting
A few tips fighting classes

Common rotations
There are two common rotations as a mage when attacking and one defensive
rotation I personally use before anything, these are:
DEFENCE: plasma shield, redemption, righteous defense, repent.
Rotation 1 (to be used if you can get the first strike): DEFENCE, boiling blood,
ignite (stun), erupt, despair (silence), spam incinerate and repeat when they lose
cc immunity.
Rotation 2 (if you cant get the first strike): DEFENCE, ignite (stun), erupt, despair
(silence), boiling blood, spam incinerate and repeat rotation 1 when they lose cc
immunity.

Fighting mages/rangers
Use rotation 1 if you dont see them hitting you with bleeds/stuns first, if they
cast bleeds first like boiling blood and envenom then start rotation 2.
A rangers strongest weapon is envenom everything else is able to be tanked.

Fighting prophets
Use rotation 1 if you dont see them hitting you with bleeds/stuns first, if they
cast bleeds first like boiling blood and envenom then start rotation 2.

Spam incinerate over and over and constantly put up boiling blood.

Fighting warriors
Warriors is where it starts to get tricky, the main concern with them is frenzy and
their combo.
Use the DEFENCE rotation first, pop a stamina potion and hope you stay alive, if
you do then miasma out of there and cast boiling blood then despair asap as
silences work through frenzy.. from then on use all your big hitting moves like
ignite, erupt, etc.. and hope you get them down.

Fighting sins
Use the DEFENCE rotation and pop a stam, hold repent until they come close as
most sins as soon as they see repent will run and wait for it to drop.. tank the
rotation and as soon as jolt drops miasma out of there and use boiling blood and
despair (you can try ignite after boiling blood but with a high dodge chance I
dont recommend it) and then just keep your health up and use all your big
hitting moves.

Fighting prophages
No one gives a shit about these guys, so dont get mad or disheartened if you
lose to them. Theyre just shit because they cant fight with any other class.
Only way to kill a prophage is practice and to time your attacks wisely, keep in
mind their repent is talented and therefore boiling blood/despair/blazing embers
wont do anything while it is up for 12seconds.
Dont go wasting your first serenity on their first boiling blood, chances are they
will stun and then silence you meaning you take full effect pretty much of boiling
blood with 2 seconds left still of damage so no point wasting it on that. Wait for
the next boiling blood to serenity or whenever you feel necessary.

Conclusion
Good luck PvP is slightly difficult to begin with but the more you fight, the
better you become and stop panicking as much as to when to cast stuff
