We had used Final cut pro to edit film.
On this day, we finished our shooting. Then, we went to one of the
editing room to log and capture the film. The first day of editing was
fun and stressing because I had never done editing all by myself
before. Above all, we had only one hour. We made a folder to save our
recorded film after completing the task of log and capture.

Time:
7:25 pm

Problem that occurred:

`It was my first day of editing so it was kind of hard to learn all the
things about how to log and capture the film. It is important to notice
that white switch is not covered at the bottom of the mini DV Tape
whilst entering it inside the Digital Deck because it enables us from
capturing the recorded film.

How I resolved the problem:

Accidentally, I was about to insert the mini DV tape into the Digital
Deck, unaware that white switch at the bottom of the mini tape has to
be uncovered. Luckily, the teacher provided me with this important
information at the same time. I realised that I have to take care of
each and every detail of things we have to use while editing.

Today teacher taught me how to capture the suitable scene and

arrange it. I even learned that I have to press 'i' to capture the certain
scene and 'o' to stop the scene. After selecting certain scenes, I have
to put it in a Timeline and arrange the scenes to make it look more
sensible.
I even learned that in Timeline, there is a zoom control which helps
me to increase the size of the video track and an audio track.

Time:
7:15pm

Problem that occurred:

I didn’t know how to delete the unwanted scene from the timeline so I
nearly got rid of my whole work.

How I resolved the problem:

I asked my teacher to help me as I had a problem with deleting. He
instructed me to choose the scene that needs to be deleted and press
Apple Z.

Today I decided to pick up some score music for our film. Our teacher
taught me, how to select music, save it and put it in the browser of the
project tab. When it comes to the music it is the hardest part to select
the right music. Music makes the difference in the movie. If the music
don’t go well with the scene then the there is no meaning of the film.
Music creates the emotional and changes the moods and facial
expression of the audience. For our film we needed a sound which is
not so dynamic yet so catchy. I want my audience to feel the music
while watching it and express it according to the scene and feel the
emotional of the character. So, I choose plenty of music and saved it in
the project tab.

Despite of spending time in a home in term break, I went to college to
complete our project in time. Today, I uploaded the picture of our logo
with the production name in it. I even put the selected, suitable music
below the video track. I found that there is this small line in the Audio
Track where we can move the line up and down to make the sound
better and keep it minimum. In the Tool Palette, there is a tool
shaped like a pen which can be used to move the audio track up and
down from one point to another.

Time:
12:40pm

Problem that occurred:

I heard a beeping sound while trying to lower the sound of music in
Audio Track. I panicked and had no clue what was going on. I was
worried that I might end up losing my whole work.

How I resolved the problem:

I asked my teacher about the beeping sound and he told me that we
have to press Apple R or we can press Sequence at the top of the
Final cut Pro Interface and then we can press both to stop the
beeping sound.
