What have you accomplished this week?

To recap my capstone so far:

I have completed the introduction / first video of the channel.

I have created a intro for the videos

I have made a basis on what videos I will release on the channel

In this week, I have completed the “Art of Subtitling” Video. It is around 5 minutes long, it goes into detail
about:

-How subtitling capture the attention of the viewer

-How subtitling can make a video look neater and better

-how subtitling is important

The video took me around 4-5 hours for editing, about an hour of revising and scripting for the video script.

Around 30 minutes arranging the audio, around another 30 minutes finding clips to add into the video.

Around an hour for the finishing touches, like making sure that the video flows together, all audio is synced
properly, video quality doesn’t have any dips in performance, etc.

What you plan to accomplish by the end of next week

By the end of the week, I am planning to finish, polish, and complete a video on audio. On how audio is used
in videos and media. Of how audio is key in grabbing attention of the viewer, how it changes the tone of the
video, how video is perceived differently based off the audio.

I am trying to hit the same mark as the “Art of Subtitling” video for the next video. Which is around 5 minutes
long

Obstacles encountered AND solutions

Obstacles that have occurred:

Me finding motivation to finish the video

Me experiencing difficulties with my editing software, as some parts would freeze frame a random clip, so
some clips stutters a bit in the uncompleted / not neat version

Me finding time to complete video editing while having a busy schedule

Solutions that I have come to counteract it:

Giving myself a mental reset, I would usually listen to music for around 30 minutes then do my video editing
in small spurts like 30 minutes on project then 30 minutes off project and listening to music.

I tried to fix the problem by rearranging the frame rate at which the clips are going so it doesn’t shutter.
I have found that I usually can make time for myself if I don’t procrastinate and play video games instead, I try
to be diligent on completing this project.
