Capstone Update #2

What have you accomplished so far on your Capstone project? If nothing, why?

- So far, I've finished recording verse 1 and the chorus of the first song, and my mentor is
recording to feature on my first song. When his part is recorded, the first song is recorded, and
the song is completed with mixing and mastering.

What do you plan to accomplish by the end of this week? How will you hold yourself accountable?

- I asked him to finish recording the first song in time by the end of the week. After his recording,
the entire recording ends, leaving only mixing and mastering work. However, my plan so far is to
finish recording the second song and proceed with both songs at once. Since mixing and
mastering takes a lot of time, we will first finish the overall recording and then proceed at the
end. Therefore, this weekend will be my mentor's recording, and the next week will be the lyrics
and melody creation of the second song.

Your needs, including time, space, materials, and personal contacts

- My mentor and I have been working on the project every week since the week after the meeting
before starting the Capstone project. During the weekdays, I create lyrics and melodies for the
song and meet him on weekends to record. If the lyrics and melody are not good, take the time
to make the lyrics and melody again next week and record it again on the weekend. All work,
including recording, is being carried out in my mentor's studio, and the equipment used for
recording is a microphone, a pop-tilter, and a mixing program.

What your interactions with your mentor(s) have been so far. If nothing, why? What is your plan?

- He serves as a guide for me to set the note during the actual recording and to make a more
flexible flow and stable voice. In addition to recording, writing lyrics and making melodies are
conducted in the form of writing alone for a week, receiving feedback on weekends, and
recording.
Any obstacles you anticipate and your plan to overcome them

- The melody I thought in my head, and when I recorded it, my notes were not the same, so I'm
having a challenging time recording it. To prevent this, I will meet my mentor and sing the
melody I created before I proceed with the recording, and practice so that I can sing the melody
I produced while
