Organizacioni odbor poziva sve zainteresovane autore i
uesnike da naslov rada i abstrakt (do 100 kucanih rijei)
poalju najkasnije do 30.11.2011. godine na adresu
organizatora. Molimo Vas da naznaite oblast na koju se
odnosi Va rad.
Slubeni jezici Simpozija su: engleski i BHS jezici.

TEMATIKA SIMPOZIJA
Nauno/struni simpozij e raditi na slijedei nain:
plenarna sjednica (uvodni i pozivni radovi za globalne
teme), simpozij usmena i poster prezentacija radova po
temama skupa), i po potrebi radni sastanci. Obavjetavaju
se svi potencijalni autori da mogu pripremiti radove iz
slijedeih oblasti:

KOTIZACIJA
Kotizacija za autore i uesnike Simpozija je 100,00 neto
(~ 200,00 KM), ukljuujui i lanove Naunog odbora i
predsjedavajue Sekcija. Kotizacija obuhvata Zbornik
radova sa Simpozija sa prateim materijalima, pie
dobrodolice i sveanu veeru prvog dana odravanja
Simpozija.

INVITATION TO THE AUTHORS AND

PARTICIPANTS
Organizing Committee invites authors and participants to
submit paper title and abstracts (up to 100 words), not later

than November 30 2011 addressed to the organizer. Please,
notify the topic in which your article will be placed.
The official Symposium languages are English, Bosnian,
Croatian and Serbian.

SYMPOSIUM TOPICS
The Scientific /research Symposium will be performed as
follows: Plenary session (key papers concerned global
topics), symposium (oral and poster presentation of paper
according to the Symposium topics), and workshops, when
needed. We inform all potential authors to prepare papers in
the following topics:
!Metallic materials
!Nonmetallic materials (anorganic, organic and civil
engineering materials)
!Protection of working space and environment and
Sustainable development.

SYMPOSIUM FEE
The Symposium fee for the authors and participants is 100,00
netto, including members of the Scientific Committee and
Session chairman. The Symposium fee includes: a copy
Symposium proceedings and accompanying materials,
admission to all Sessions and presentations, welcome drink
and gala dinner.

SIMPOZIJA
Simpozij e se odrati 23. i 24. aprila 2012. godine na
Fakultetu za metalurgiju i materijale u Zenici.

SYMPOSIUM DATE AND VENUE

The Symposium will take place at the Faculty of
Metallurgy and Materials Science in Zenica, B&H, April

23 and 24 2012.

Zenica is situated in one of the largest and most beautiful

valleys in the middle part of the River Bosna by which the
state has got its name. The city of Zenica was first
mentioned on March 20, 1436 in Dubrovnik merchant
documents, only in the developed stage of the Middle
ages. However, Zenica as a settlement dates back to the
early history of Roman Empire under the name of Bistua
Nuova, then Bilino Polje and Brod in the early Middle
ages, the name given after the River Bosna crossing.
Throughout history, over 100 settlements have been
developed in the region of Zenica. Various ethnic groups,
cultures, religions and customs have left their trace in the
deep and long lasting tradition of harmonious
coexistence.
Todaym Zenica is a seat of Zenica-Doboj Canton. It is the
center of the Canton in terms of administration, politics,
economy, culture, education, science and sports.
The Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science was
founded in 1959. Its primary objective being to produce
metallurgical engineers to meet the needs of the Iron and
Steel Works Zenica, founded as early as 1892.
The Faculty is university level institution organizing and
performing undergraduate and postgraduated studies.
The curriculum includes undergraduate courses in
following departments:
- Department of Metallurgy
- Department of Materials
- Department of Chemical engineering
