Held responsibility for all cost control functions for Chevron D&C in a new country. Managed, tracked, and forecasted all
program contracts. Administered budget development and change control processes as well as project budget preparation,
internal/external financials, and project performance reporting. Prepared all D&C-related appropriations for expenditures
(AFEs) and supported preparation of all GO-36 estimates. Performed ad hoc analysis and reporting for project and senior
management, including generating value of work done (VoWD) curves and forecasts for all AFEs.
Monitored and tracked a project budget and forecast of ~$1B.
Was lauded by senior management for leading the only department with zero findings in the initial project audit, which was
accomplished in part by introducing all-new cost controls procedures/processes.
Defined a contract cost reporting procedure and report for the entire Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) exploration program
there are currently 1,100+ contracts and purchase orders being manually tracked in this cost-effective report.

scope. Aggregated financial data to prepare and disseminate status reports and spend plans across the department.
Audited project and labor costs to ensure each was charged according to contract requirements and work order details,
including labor hours, labor categories, charge numbers, and various additional direct project costs. Produced and

Allowed teams to correct shortfalls by performing critical path analyses that identified early problems and accurately
forecasted the need for supplemental funds, preventing interruption of the project.
Documented a simple, clear change management procedure for the FARM project, which was later adopted and used at
the program level.

budget and supervised two employees.
Streamlined all project controls processes, which improved productivity and saved $400K-$800K by preventing the need
to hire additional staff.
Developed a new trend procedure for the project, earned recognition as a trend engineer subject matter expert (SME),
and was appointed to a team that standardized the trend procedure across the petrochemical business unit.
