THE STRENGTH CACULATION OF THE PIPE

The notes for strength calculation of the hoop and axial layer

ISO 10639-2004GB/T 21238-2007
AWWA C950-20074GB/T 21238-2007
6.3GB/T 21238-2007

The minimum hoop and axis tensile strength are prescribed in the standard
GB/T 21238-2007 which

is the basic standard used for design FRP pipe; the

minimum axial tensile strength in GB/T 21238-2007

21238 2007 is the same as the standard
ISO 10639-2004; the minimum hoop tensile strength is given in AWWA C950-2007, but
it's juct only for safety factor 4, the hoop tensile strength for safety factor
6.3 is given in the standard GB/T 21238-2007 according to AWWA C950-2007.

Actual gasket thickness

OK

5mm

It's need to add a gasket between GRP and other materials to protect the pipe, and
the thickness of the gasket should be not less than 5mm. Usually the pipe is very
heavy, so the thickness of gasket should be with enough design margin.
