1.0 Scope of Work

The DMS serves as a field concrete surface touch-up and repairing procedure on various
defects during the period of construction of Development of Xxxxxx.
Concrete work in this project consists of 1471 numbers of precast block (Mass Concrete),
precast 1.2km of retaining wall (Plain Concrete) and 1.1km of Cast-in-situ Breast Wall
(Reinforced Concrete).
SIKAGROUT 217 is selected for major works of repairing and touch-up of concrete surface,
which the type of material falls into Class R-4 categorized in BS 1504-3. Using mortar
classified as structural repairing material for cosmetic work should be consider acceptable for
this particular situation.
SIKA RAPID MORTAR is selected for repairing damaged concrete in tidal zone for its nature
of fast hardening, allowing the repair may be completed in 3 hours.
