to quit smoking & to help environment from pollution & to help all parties
from the bad effect of smoking).

01. Who is the target market? How do you know?
The target market of this ad is smokers of all age group & socially aware
group who is concern about the bad effect of smoking. This ad is specially
targeted at smokers who wants to quit smoking but don’t know the better
way to quit smoking.
This is clear from the picture of Quitplan.com billboard which is smashing
down a cigarette.
03. Is the ad in the right medium given the target market? Why?
This giant billboard poster ad is very effective in drawing the attention of the
target market & generating awareness. In addition this medium of
advertising is cost effective in delivering the message as it is mentioned
earlier that the website is a free service giving website. Although outdoor
posters have got relatively low reach but in this situation it is a good medium
for this kind of ad.
04. What design elements have they used to get the target markets
attention?
The ad is not like the traditional billboard ad & the outlook of the ad is very
different than any other outdoor poster ad. The main design element used in
the ad is that the quitplan.com is smashing down a cigarette which grabs the
attention of target market & creates an interest in them.
Curious name “Quitplan” helps to draw the attention of the target market &
make them more curious to visit the website.
The untraditional look of the billboard with the contrast of green & black
resembling the freshness & the smashing down of a cigarette & the balance
between left & right sides & the untraditional form makes the ad more
appealing & curious about the website.
