Samenvatting
My current job has two dimensions.
First of all I am Sector Manager of the Security, Aviation and Telecom sector at
Ecorys. This includes business development in these areas, the line management of
my team members, the final responsibility for the efficient delivery of projects in
line with clients' expectations and financial performance of my sector.
Secondly, I am involved in the implementation of consultancy assignments. More
specifically, I carry out projects amongst others in:
- Aviation : airports, air traffic management, aviation policy, aviation and
environment
- Space : satellite navigation, observation and communication, space policy
- Security: aviation security and security market analysis
Past project experiences include:
* Aviation:
- Impact assessment of the Single European Sky 2+ policy package

- Economic and financial feasibility of a new runway at Rodrigues airport, Mauritius

- Evaluation economic regulation Schiphol airport
* Space:
- Ex-post evaluation Dutch space policy 2007-2011
- Funding options for extending EGNOS into Africa
- Competitiveness of the European Space sector
* Security:
- Evaluation of security research programmes in EU and third countries

Het Europese luchtruim is een verzameling van (sub)nationale luchtruimen
gekenmerkt door fragmentatie en diversiteit. Dit leidt tot inefficinties die zich, voor
luchtvaartmaatschappijen en hun klanten, vertalen in directe en indirecte kosten die
vermijdbaar zijn. Het Single European Sky initiatief (SES) van de Europese
Commissie moet deze inefficinties en kosten aanzienlijk verminderen. Dit artikel
belicht de economische aspecten van SES. Hierbij gaat het niet alleen om de
verwachte baten, zoals minder vertragingen, maar ook om de kosten en de
onevenwichtigheid in de verdeling daarvan.
