Republican Rebecca Negron Announces Strongest Fundraising Quarter to Date

Rebecca Negron Raises $239,000 in 2016 Q1 in Race for CD18
Stuart, Fla. Republican Candidate Rebecca Negron for Florida Congressional District 18 today
announced her strongest fundraising quarter to date, raising $239,000 in the first quarter of 2016.
This announcement comes on the heels of endorsements by Congressman Tom Rooney and the Palm
Beach County Police Benevolent Association, as well as the announcement that she is the first candidate
to qualify by petition to appear on the ballot to represent Florida Congressional District 18 for the
Republican Primary this August.
I am truly overwhelmed by the strong support my campaign for Congress has received, said Negron.
As I have campaigned throughout the district, the support for my message for Americans to start
pulling together again to reclaim our government is clearly catching on. Im honored to have the
endorsement of Congressman Tom Rooney and the Palm Beach PBA, but perhaps most of all, Im
humbled so many have decided its time to send a problem-solving conservative to Congress.
Since announcing her candidacy for Florida Congressional District 18, Negron has been endorsed by
Maggies List, the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association, Congressman Tom Rooney,
Florida Representatives Debbie Mayfield, Gayle Harrell and MaryLynn Magar, Martin County
Republican Executive Committee (REC) Chairwoman Kate Boland, Martin County REC Past
Chairwomen Susan Auld and Sherry Plymale, Martin County REC Past Chairman Charlie Kane, Martin
County Womens Republican Club President Diane McKechnie, St. Lucie County REC Committeeman
Michael Hofstee, Sewalls Point Commissioner James Campo, and Stuart City Commissioners Jeff
Krauskopf and Troy McDonald. Florida Congressional District 18 includes Martin, St. Lucie and Palm
Beach Counties.
Negron has served on the Martin County School Board since 2012 and was re-elected without
opposition in 2014. A registered nurse, who has practiced in the field of obstetrics, Negron has an
Associates degree from Palm Beach State College and a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Indiana
Wesleyan University. Negron is the mother of three children, each of whom attended Martin County
public schools and graduated from the IB Program at South Fork High School. Negron is married to Joe
Negron, Florida Senate President-designate, who represents Senate District 32 in the Florida Legislature.
