Florida Representative Gayle Harrell Endorses Rebecca Negron for CD18
Stuart, Fla. Republican Candidate Rebecca Negron today announced that Florida Representative Gayle Harrell (R-Stuart) has endorsed her bid for Florida Congressional District 18. Rebecca, like myself, is a longtime member of the Martin County community, said Representative Harrell. Grounded in her conservative values, I know Rebecca will bring the issues that matter most to our community to the forefront. I am proud of her stance on opposing Common Core to ensure our children receive the best education possible, opposing All Aboard Florida, and any funding on its behalf, and strengthening our economy through fiscal responsibility and growing the job base. And, as someone who truly appreciates the beauty of Martin Countys natural resources, I know Rebecca will work to secure federal funding that will match funding available through Legacy Florida to stop harmful release from Lake Okeechobee and protect our environment. Additionally, with a background in health care, Rebecca knows that the Presidents broken health care system is not working, said Harrell. She has witnessed its negative effects first hand, and we agree that Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with a system that gets the government out of the way. Rebecca is the conservative voice Congressional District 18 needs and deserves in Washington, and I am happy to lend her my support. As a trusted local Republican leader in our community, Representative Harrells endorsement is greatly appreciated, said Negron. I thank Representative Harrell not only for her encouragement, but for her dedication to the Treasure Coast we both proudly call home. As I have said from Day One, I am committed to finding solutions to better Martin County, said Negron. We must keep education out of the hands of the federal government, ensure that local projects, such as the Indian River Lagoon, are given adequate attention and help fix our flawed foreign policies. Additionally, we must help our economy grow and thrive through simplifying the tax code and creating jobs. Since announcing her candidacy for Florida Congressional District 18, Negron has been endorsed by Maggies List, Martin County Republican Executive Committee (REC) Chairwoman Kate Boland, Martin County REC Past Chairwomen Susan Auld and Sherry Plymale, Martin County REC Past Chairman Charlie Kane, Martin County Womens Republican Club President Diane McKechnie, St. Lucie County REC Committeeman Michael Hofstee, Sewalls Point Commissioner James Campo, and Stuart City Commissioners Jeff Krauskopf and Troy McDonald. Florida Congressional District 18 includes Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach Counties. Negron has served on the Martin County School Board since 2012 and was re-elected without opposition in 2014. A registered nurse, who has practiced in the field of obstetrics, Negron has an Associates degree from Palm Beach State College and a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Negron is
