impact in the future. Sustainable development is a global trend and is the
most important factor of the long-term survival of any business which plays a
major role in developing strategy. As a result, sustainability reports should be
given every year to announce what the organization has done including:
capital management, financing activities, exploitation of natural resources,
environmental conditions, etc. Besides the clearly disclosed, the report also

social and environmental and it should be presented to all stakeholders such
as partners, investors, customers, committees, employees and shareholders,
etc.
Introduction
WML is a large organization in Australia specialize in producing surfboards
and wetsuits by materials that are friendly with environment like bamboo,
recycled water bottles, etc. Products are distributed across Australia and it
has three separate stores in three states: Victoria, Melbourne, and Sydney.
The organization has a manufacturing company in Bangladesh and they are
discussing about producing surfboards in China, due to the cost of production
in China is cheap and this location has a good kind of bamboo, toughness.
With the current development, WML should pay more attention to
sustainable issues to preserve and develop its brand in the future. If the
organization does not give annual sustainability report, it may be at risk of
danger as not cope up timely with the business risk or affected by
environmental, social or shallow exhaustion of natural resources. This report
will deepen the problems in sustainability report to WML has depth look

about benefit, duties, and activities of the sustainability report. Besides, it

will point out the direct impact to the company when they make surfboards

The aim of this assignment is about guiding WML to observe sustainability report. We
will access into surfboard and wetsuit industry only to make relevant with WMLs
operation. Because WML is artificial company so its is no way for us to find the
companys detailed information such as strategy, vison, financial statements. Moreover,
WML hasnt made sustainability report before, so it is necessary to provide separate
sustainability report from financial report of the company. It is assumed that corporate
social responsibility, triple bottom and sustainability report are synonym.

To whom these reports should be addressed?

The long-term success of an organization requires understanding,
anticipating and satisfying the expectations of the stakeholders (including
partners, investors, customers, the local committee, shareholders and all
employees, etc.). Stakeholders will benefit from the existence of the
organization and they have the right to know information about the
organization are affecting them (perhaps through community sponsorship,
pollution, providing of employment, etc.). Therefore, sustainability reporting
is the full and transparency explanation for stakeholders about what the

organization has done especially on the information about society and the
environment. That can make to increase trust and support from key
stakeholders. In fact, related parties as partners, investors and customers
have the power to influence the organization's goals, so it can affect the
information disclosure policies of the organization and vice versa. However, a
legal organization must be consistent with the expectations of the
communities in which it operates, like the good ethics is good business.
For WML organizations, the annual sustainability report should be addressed
with all related parties and the communities which organizations operate as
partners, investors, citizens, customers, local committees, employees, and
shareholders because they have right to know. That means WML not only
solving sustainability reporting for stakeholders in Australia but also in
Bangladesh and forthcoming in China. Sustainability reports make a positive
impact on employee perception, they understand the objectives, principles,
achievements and values of the organization brings to society
(Stephen,2011). Moreover, based on this report they will create new
strategies to deal with the difficulties in the future. The report should be
addressed to the local government because based on transparent statistics,
they will supervise the organization's activities that affect society and the
environment. This helps to enhance the accountability of the organization to
the community and corporate social responsibility (CSR). This makes to
improve the attractiveness of investors who have the responsibility to the
environment and to attract good employees in the future who have
sustainable thinking and social responsibility (3).

Conclusion
Extensive study of the value of sustainability reporting can see that
organizations can not lack fully and transparency reports, which helps WML
can recognize what they have done, will do in the future, and risk

management better to create sustainable development for the organization.

These reports must be addressed with all stakeholders including the internal
organization (employees, shareholders, investors, etc.) and outside the
organization (partners, customers, general public, local committees, etc.)
Organizations to ensure it meets the expectations of the stakeholders and
that is also business ethics of a professional organization to ensure the longterm sustainability. If the organization decides to manufacture surfboard from
China, besides these advantages, the organization has faced many
challenges. Therefore, they have to pay more attention to provide
sustainability reporting for the locality where they work. With the current
development, plus the sustainability strategy and high business ethics, WML
organizations are anticipated to remain sustainable development in the
future.
