ACCUSER

a-kuz'-er:
This word, not found in the Old Testament, is the rendering of two Greek words:
1. kategoros, that is, a prosecutor, or plaintiff in a lawsuit, or one who speaks in a
derogatory way of another (Acts 23:30,35;25:16,18; Revelation 12:10);
2. diabolos, meaning adversary or enemy. This word is rendered "accuser" in the King
James Version and "slanderer" in the Revised Version (British and American) and
the American Standard Revised Version (2 Timothy 3:3; Titus 2:3). According to the
rabbinic teaching Satan, or the devil, was regarded as hostile to God and man, and
that it was a part of his work to accuse the latter of disloyalty and sin before the
tribunal of the former (see Job 1:6; Zechariah 3:1; Revelation 12:10).
3. Easton's Bible Dictionary
4. Satan is styled the "accuser of the brethren" (Revelation 12:10. Comp. Job
1:6; Zechariah 3:1), as seeking to uphold his influence among men by bringing false
charges against Christians, with the view of weakening their influence and injuring
the cause with which they are identified. He was regarded by the Jews as the
accuser of men before God, laying to their charge the violations of the law of which
they were guilty, and demanding their punishment. The same Greek word, rendered
"accuser," is found in John 8:10 (but omitted in the Revised Version); Acts 23:30,
35; 24:8; 25:16, 18, in all of which places it is used of one who brings a charge
against another.

Week of August 24
Don't Give Place to the Devil!
Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27
You and I never have to fall prey to the devil! If we can shut every door, close every window, and
seal every place in our lives through which the enemy would try to access us, we can prevent him
from getting into the middle of our affairs.
One of the "entry points" the devil tries to use to enter our lives is relationships. If there is an
unresolved issue or an ugly conflict with a loved one or friend, these conflict points often
becomeentry points through which the devil tries to get a foothold in our relationships with those we
love. Once the enemy is able to slip in through one of these "cracks" and build an offended place in
our minds, then a wall has already begun to be constructed that will eventually separate us from the
people we need and love the most.
In Ephesians 5:27, the apostle Paul writes, "Neither give place to the devil." The word "place" is the
Greek word topos. It refers to a specific, marked-off, geographical location. It carries the idea of
aterritory, province, region, zone, or geographical position. It is from this word that we get the word
for a topographical map. Because the word topos depicts a geographical location, this lets us know
that the devil is after every region and zone of our lives - money, health, marriage, relationships,
employment, business, and ministry. He is so territorial that he wants it all. But to start his campaign
to conquer all those areas of our lives, he must first find an entry point from which he can begin his
campaign of unleashing his devilish destruction in our lives.
We often throw open the door to the devil when we:

Refuse to let go of old hurts and wounds.

Refuse to acknowledge what we did wrong.

Refuse to forgive others for what they did.

Refuse to stop judging others for their grievances.
Refuse to admit we were wrong too.
Refuse to say, "I'm sorry" when we're wrong.
Refuse to lay down our "rights" for others.
If you and I do any of these things, we leave a "marked-off place" through which the devil can enter
to accuse others in our minds. But we don't have to fall victim to the enemy's tactics. We can say,
"No, you're not going to do this!"
We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ, so we don't have to let the devil run all over us.
The Bible boldly declares, "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
The apostle Paul told us, "Neither give place to the devil." The Greek makes it clear that we
mustchoose to give the devil no territory. You see, we have a choice: We can choose to "give the
enemy place" in our minds and emotions, or we can choose to walk in the Spirit. If we choose the
lower road, we will end up doing and saying things we later regret. Those regretful things are usually
what opens the door for the devil to wreak havoc in our relationships.
I'm thinking specifically of a day I got very upset with one of our employees. I received information
about one department of our ministry that really upset me. What upset me even more was that I
believed one of our employees had known about this problem but hadn't conveyed the full truth to
me about it. I scheduled a meeting to talk to that person the next morning to discuss this situation.
That night as I lay in bed, I began to think about the problem we were facing. The longer I thought
about it, the more angry I became that I hadn't been fully informed about the details as I should have
been. I could feel a flash of heat pass through me as I kept pondering what to do next.
As I lay there in that bed, I began to take up an offense with this leader in our ministry. Once the
devil got that foothold in my mind and emotions, it was as if a door had suddenly swung wide open
for the devil to come in and begin accusing and slandering that precious employee to me. I tossed
and turned all night long. I knew I could lay this issue down and walk in peace, or I could let it build in
my mind until I became a walking time bomb. I chose to hold on to it and let it fester throughout the
night.
The next morning when our meeting began, I exploded! My thinking was so distorted by the devil's
ravings in my mind all night that I couldn't hear anything being said. I was livid with this employee.
This employee couldn't even say anything, as I never even gave her ten seconds to respond to my
accusations.
Later when the whole ordeal was over, I discovered that every detail of the problem had already
been fully communicated to me. But I had been so busy at the time that I didn't even remember the
conversation. Others on the staff remembered it very well. It was my fault that I didn't know
and nothers.
I was so embarrassed that I had lost my temper. I asked my staff members for forgiveness, and they
were spiritual enough to forgive me and allow me to be a man with real human frailties. Thank God,
our long-term relationship and commitment to work as a team overrides moments of human weakness that all of us display at one time or another.
But there are many people who don't know how to recover from conflicts such as this one. Rather
than face the situation head-on and either apologize or openly forgive, they hold their failure or their
offense in their hearts, never forgetting it and never getting beyond it.

On the particular day that I exploded in anger, it was I who "gave place to the devil." As I tossed and
turned in that bed the night before, I knew I was making a choice. I pondered the problem so long
that I let anger well up inside of me and make my decision for me.
What about you? Have you ever given place to the devil by allowing anger, resentment, bitterness,
or unforgiveness to have a "place" in you?
But let's look at the word "devil" for a moment. The word "devil" comes from the Greek worddiabolos,
an old compound word that is made from the words dia and ballo. This name is used sixty-one times
in the New Testament. The first part of the word is the prefix dia, which meansthrough and often
carries the idea of penetration. Because dia is used at the first of this word, it tells us that the devil
wants to make some kind of penetration.
We've already seen that the devil is looking for an entry point. Once a point has been located
through which he can secretly slip into people's lives, he begins penetrating the mind and emotions
to drive a wedge between those individuals and the other people in their lives. The enemy's
objective is to separate them from each other with his railing, accusing, slanderous accusations.
You'll know when the accuser has gone to work in your mind because your whole perspective about
the person you are upset with suddenly changes. You become nit-picky, negative, and faultfinding.Until now you had high regard for that person, but now you can't see anything good about
him at all. It's as if you've put on a special set of eyeglasses that are specially designed to reveal all
his wicked, ugly, horrid details. Even if you do see something good in him, all the bad you see
outweighs the good.
This is clear evidence that the work of the "accuser" has found an entry point to penetrate your
relationship with that other person. He is trying to disrupt what has been a pleasant and gratifying
relationship in your life. Don't allow that conflict, disagreement, or disappointment to cause you to
pick up a wrong attitude that will ruin your relationship. That's exactly what the devil wants you to do!
Rather than allow this to happen, stop and tell yourself, Okay, this isn't as big of a deal as I'm
making it out to be. The devil is trying to find a place in my mind to get me to start mentally accusing
that person, and I'm not going to let him do it.
Instead of meditating on all the bad points of that person, look in the mirror yourself! Consider how
many times you've let down other people; how many mistakes you've made in your relationships; the
times you should have been held accountable but instead were shown unbelievable mercy.
Remembering these things has a way of making you look at an offensive situation a little more
mercifully.
Ask the Holy Spirit to take the criticism out of your heart and to cause the love of God in you to flow
toward that other person or group of people. Pray for a opportunity to strengthen that relationship so
all the entry places to your life and to that relationship remain sealed. Stop the devil from worming
his way into the middle of your relationships with people you need and love!
MY PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, I ask You to help me keep the doors to my heart and soul closed to the devil! I know he would
like to slip into my relationships and ruin them, so I am asking You to help me stay free of offense,
free of unforgiveness, and free of bitterness. I realize these wrong attitudes create "entry points"
through which the devil tries to gain territory in my relationships. I don't want to give the devil a
foothold in my affairs through a wrong attitude. So I'm asking You, Lord, to help me identify every

wrong feeling or attitude in my life that the devil could use to ruin relationships with people I need
and love.
I pray this in Jesus' name!
MY CONFESSION FOR TODAY
I confess that I walk in forgiveness! Offense, bitterness, strife, and unforgiveness have no place in
my life. The Spirit of God dwells in me, and He always convicts me of wrong attitudes that the devil
could potentially use to bind me. I love Jesus, and I want to please Him; therefore, I refuse to allow
these destructive attitudes to remain in me. I am full of mercy, longsuffering, and slow to anger. All of
these qualities keep me safe and secure from the devil's attempts to invade me.
I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!

Are You Resisting the Devil?

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
When the devil tries to assault your mind, telling you that your God-given dream
will never come to pass, how do you resist those assaults? Do you stand firm
against those lies and command them to leave? Or do you allow the devil to
mentally assail your mind with untrue allegations?
In James 4:7, the Bible tell us, Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. The
word resist is from the Greek word anthistemi, which is a compound of the
words anti and istimi. The word antimeans against, as to oppose something. The
word istimi means to stand. When placed into one word, thus forming the
word anthistemi, it means to stand against or to stand in opposition. It is a word
that demonstrates the attitude of one who is fiercely opposed to something and
therefore determines that he will do everything within his power to resist it, to
stand against it, and to defy its operation.
By using this word, James plainly lets us know that we must be aggressively
determined to stand against the work of the devil. Just shutting our eyes and
hoping the enemy will withdraw wont work. We must dig in our heels, brace
ourselves for a fight, and put our full force forward to drive him back and out of
our lives. Our stand against Satan must be firm, unyielding, and steadfast if we
want to successfully resist his bombardment of lies against our minds and
emotions.

Notice that James says we are to resist the devil. As noted in many
other Sparkling Gems, the word devil is the translation of the word diabolos,
which is more of a job description than it is a name. You see, if you understand
the word devil, you also know exactly how this sinister enemy works.
The word devil is a compound of the words dia and ballo. The word dia has
many meanings, depending on how it is used. However, in this particular case, it
means through, as to pierce something from one side all the way through to the
other side. The word ballo means to throw, as when a person throws a ball, a
rock, or some other object. When these two words are joined, it means to
repetitiously throw something striking again and again and again until the
object being struck has finally been completely penetrated.
Now do you see why this word is a vivid job description for the devil? It tells us
exactly how he operates. He comes to assault the mind not once but many
times. He strikes the mind and emotions again and again and again. He just
keeps on striking until he wears down the resistance of the one being assaulted.
Then as soon as the victim lets down his mental resistance, the devil gives one
last firm punch that finally succeeds in penetrating his mind. Once the devil has
gained access into that persons mind, he begins to deluge him with lies on top
of lies. If the person listens to those lies and believes them, the devil can then
successfully build a stronghold in his life from which he can begin to control and
manipulate him.
Does this kind of mental attack sound familiar? Well, let me ask you a question:
Instead of giving the devil the pleasure of filling your head with a barrage of lies,
why dont you start to resist him? Thats right just tell the devil to shut up and
to stop dropping those dim-witted religious thoughts of nonsense into your
head! Tell him to hit the road!
Its time for you to resist the enemy of your soul. Let him know that youre not
going to bite that bait anymore, so he may as well go fishing somewhere else.
Youre no longer going to be a sucker! You have just been informed that there is
a deadly hook inside that bait that is designed to hook you, pull you into the
devils net, and turn you into dead meat for the devil to chomp on for a long
time. But he has hooked you with that bait for the last time!

James 4:7 has good news for you. It says that if you will resist the devil, he will
flee from you. The word flee in Greek is so exciting! It is from the
word pheugo, which from the earliest times of Greek literature meant to
flee or to take flight. It was used to depict a lawbreaker who flees in terror from
a nation where he broke the law. The reason he flees so quickly is that he wants
to escape the prosecution process. Remaining in the nation would most
assuredly mean judgment; so rather than stay and face the consequences, the
lawbreaker flees for his life.
This means the devil knows that he is a lawbreaker! He also knows that if a
believer stands against him in other words, if the believer resists the enemy
by using his God-given authority in the name of Jesus and with the Word of God
it wont be long until that believer begins to rule and dominate the devil.
Rather than allow this to happen, the devil begins to withdraw and look for a
way to escape the prosecution process. Instead of sticking around and trying
hopelessly to defend himself against the name of Jesus and the Word of God, the
devil tucks his tail and runs! That is precisely what James means when he says
that the devil will flee.
An expanded and more contemporary interpretation of James 4:7 could
read:
Stand firmly against the devil! Thats right be unbending and unyielding in
the way you resist him so that he knows he is up against a serious contender. If
youll take this kind of stand against him, he will tuck his tail and run like a
criminal who knows the day of prosecution is upon him. Once you start resisting
him, hell flee from you in terror!
Friend, the devil wants to make your life less-than-gratifying, unhappy, and
uneventful. Thats why he attacks your mind and tries to convince you that
Gods dream for your life will never come to pass. He desperately wants to
convince you to settle for less than Gods best in life. Thats exactly why
you shouldnt settle for anything less than Gods best!
God has given you the name of Jesus and the promises of His Word, so its time
for you to close your ears to the devils lies and start quoting the Word and
commanding the devil to leave in Jesus name. If youll take this approach, the
devil will not only shut up and stop telling you his lies, but hell run from you in

terror! Dont you think it would be a good idea for you to get started quoting the
Word of God and using the name of Jesus today?

My Prayer for Today

Lord, because You have given me the promises of Your Word and the right to
use Your name, I refuse to let the devil bombard my mind any longer. Right now
I stand up to resist him, oppose him, and put him on the run. Devil, you will no
longer have free access to my mind and emotions, for I am standing up to resist
you. You better put on your running shoes, because if you stick around me, I
intend to prosecute you with the full authority of Gods Word! I tell you to GO in
Jesus name! And, Heavenly Father, I thank You so much for giving me the great
privilege of using Your Word and the authority of Jesus name!
I pray this in Jesus name!

My Confession for Today

I confess that I am not a weakling! I have the power of God, the Word of God,
and the name of Jesus Christ at my disposal. When I step into the full authority
God has given me, the devil knows that he must flee. I will not submit to the
devils lies. If he tries to stick around and harass me, I will enforce Gods
authority upon him! Thats why I know he will start to flee when I stand up to
resist him in Jesus name. So right now, I am taking charge over my mind and
commanding the devil to take flight!
I declare this by faith in Jesus name!

Questions to Answer
1. How do you respond when the devil tries to assault your mind with lies over
and over again? Do you let him have free access to your thought life or do
you stand firm against those lies and command them to leave in Jesus name?

2. Can you remember a time in your life when, after rising up and taking
authority over Satans mental bombardment in the name of Jesus, you could
immediately tell that the mental assault had stopped and that Satan had indeed
tucked his tail and run from you?
3. What steps can you take to prepare now before Satan launches the next
mental assault? Wouldnt it be a good idea to build a strong arsenal of truth from
Gods Word by meditating on scriptures you can use as a sword against the
enemy when taking authority over hi

Something has been going through the network of Christendom for a long
time that has caused people to look to images for deliverance rather than to
God who can truly save them. One reason for this is found written by Paul to
the Corinthians: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled
Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the
simplicity that is in Christ" (II Cor 11:3).
Unknown to most, there is a serpent, the devil, Satan involved that influences
the mind of the whole world (Rev 12:9) and produces awesome imaginations
and idols that separate them from the reality of knowing God. And it is no
wonder, for many people of the world, and a few in the church, don't believe
there is such a thing as the devil. Many others do believe he exists, but it is
along the lines Christendom has generally taught. Therefore, he sits
undisturbed while exercising all the authority that was originally given to him.
With such teachings, they believe the devil is "out there somewhere," lurking
and slithering around every corner just waiting for people to drop their guard
so he can pounce upon them.
For some reason, Christians have become so devil conscious it is staggering.
With those outside the ranks of understanding, they talk more about the devil
than they do about the one who is supposed to be their Lord. It is all right to
wonder about and question this subject, for the adversary is an intricate
working part of God's plan and purpose; but to constantly dwell on the
imaginary negative, or even the authentic negative, will eventually isolate one
from the unity of Christ. It appears more than a few are so intently tuned to
and are sniffing out the windy things of Satan that blow in the heavens of the
mind there is no room or time for reality.
Diablos

Let us share an interesting Greek word, DIABOLOS, from which the English
word DEVIL is translated. Diabolos is the product of two
words dia and bolo. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance defines DIA as "a
channel of an act, through" and the prime root BALLO, "TO
THROW...." Hence, the devil is a channel of which something thrown
through. A good illustration for this is when a vehicle passes through a tunnel
in order to reach its destination. When it comes to spiritual truths and the
natural mind of man the devil is the channel through which the
thoughts pass before they reach their destination the human
reasoning. This explains very well why Dr. Strong translated the compound
word, diabolos, as meaning A TRADUCER.
The English word TO TRADUCE means, "TO TRANSFER FROM ONE
ORDER OF REASONING TO ANOTHER ORDER OF REASONING, as to
translate from one language to another language." Hence, the traducer, the
devil, who is setting as the prince of the power of the air (of men's natural
minds) has a job to do, and that primary job is to transfer knowledge; and of
course, such knowledge always takes on the character of the crooked
serpent when it is transferred, which is a lie. Jesus said, "...There is no truth
in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it." (Jn 8:44). When we hear religious teachings and
acquire knowledge, if the thoughts are not coming from the Spirit of Christ (the
Anointing), they can very well be passing through this soothsayer before
reaching our minds. This is the sayer who is soothing, he is lying, and is
calculating. He is the translator for the humanistic, Adamic mind. He
started with Eve and he is still at it. The traducer is very accomplished at what
he does. Therefore, Christians should become a little more cautious of WHAT
they hear and HOW they hear, as Jesus warned in Mark 4:24 & Luke 8:18.
To be carnally minded is death, for it has been bitten by the serpents; but now
that we have the mind of Christ, we have no need for a translator, and no
longer are afflicted with the deadly sting.
Men and women alike have the tendency to try and grasp any and all things
with their own minds that have been so logically put together by this vivid
traducer, but let us be reminded: The carnal mind cannot receive the
things of God, for they are Spiritually discerned, and there is nothing
about it which desires the things of God, for that mind is enmity against
God. (I Cor 2:14, Rom 8:7). However, as we have already mentioned, the
traducer does make the word of God pleasing and understandable to this
dusty mind. The problem is, this infamous liar couldn't tell the truth if he
wanted to; and furthermore, there is literally nothing in him that would cause

him to want to. With this we can surmise, everything that passes through him
is a lie, and those who listen to such things are beguiled. Most people don't
want to think they can be beguiled by this ancient man slayer, but remember,
this serpent is more subtle than any beast of the field. It is the most cunning
thing in the midst of man's mind. Due to such craftiness, the devil is the
deceiver of the whole world (Gen 3:1 & Rev 12:9). Anyone who is of the
world, Christian and non-Christian alike, can and is deceived when it comes to
spiritual matters.

Very often, when we read the Bible, the words coming off
its pages go through the channel, through the
dia, through that thing in the mind called the traducer, the
translator. This is what has produced so many fictions,
frictions and factions in the church. The traducer has
helped to form many thoughts, many ideas, many
reasonings, many imaginations, many images, and many
idols in religious peoples minds. By and large, the true
teachers have been removed into a corner and are not
seen (Is 30:20), and it is common to see the churches
having received a strong delusion that they should believe
a lie." (II Thes 2:11).
AIR

The deviant translator, this thing whose habitat is in the

very center of all carnal minds, has made men think it is
out there somewhere rather than where it/he really sits.
The written word is one source that reveals the
location. Ephesians 2:2 tells us he is "the prince of the
power (authority, Grk) of the air."
We will only touch upon a couple of thoughts in reference
to the AIR, which we believe speaks clearly of the soul.
We can compare the air with the soul in the same way the

Holy Place of the tabernacle relates to it. The tabernacle

had three realms, and so does man; which are, his spirit,
his soul and his body. (Inspiration, Creation, and
Manifestation). The spirit is the origin of inspiration, the
soul is the place inspiration is created, and the body is that
which brings it all into manifestation.
The tabernacle had the Holy of Holies, the Holy Place and
the Outer Court, and as with man, the inspiration began in
the Holy of Holies by the Spirit of God, its forming took
place in the Holy Place, and then there was an outward
manifestation of it in the Outer Court as the priests
ministered to the people. (For some references concerning
these types that point to spiritual realities, note: Heb 8:15, 9:8-11, 23-24, 10:1, II Cor 6:16, I Cor 6:15 & 19)
With the natural universe, we also have three realms.
There is the infinity of space, the air which makes up our
atmosphere, and then the earth. The space houses the
Sun (Son) for inspiration, the atmosphere contains the
characteristics and resources to work out and minister that
life received from the sun, and the earth, of course, is what
manifests that life. It first comes from the sun, passes
through the air, and the reality of it is finally seen in the
earth.
One major problem we have had with Biblical teachings is
this. Many things have been taken too literal rather than
seeing them in the light of the Spirit. Another contributing
factor has been tradition. During the dark-ages people
were very fearful, superstitious and believed in all kinds of
fables, fairy tales and hobgoblins. One such goblin was

the devil of Dante's Inferno (also known asThe divine

Comedy). He is the one with horns and a long, swishing
tail who runs to and fro throughout the earth in his red
flannel underwear with that ominous pitchfork in hand. Oh,
there is a devil, all right! Jesus and other voices in the
Bible make this very clear; however, it is unlikely that no
more than one (1) percent of Christendom know what,
who, or where he is. This unfortunate shortcoming is not
only due, as mentioned above, to concepts carried over
from the dark-ages, but as a result of teachers who were
ignorant of scriptural matters concerning the church.
We do not purport to know all there is to know about the
devil, and we do not lay claim to having the revelation of
what all the mysteries are concerning the principalities,
the powers, the ruler of the darkness of this world,
and the spiritual wickedness in high places; but we do
know there are some imaginations that must come down.
For instance, the one of the devil as an individual outside
somewhere, who has power wherever there is air (for the
scripture does say that he is the prince of the power of the
air), and his influence being entirely an exterior persuasion
in the form of temptations. If this was true, then it would
stand to reason we could rid ourselves of temptation and
sin if we could just find a place where there was no air. I
suppose we could go to the moon and not be bothered
with being tempted; for you see, there is no air on the
moon. "But," someone might say, "you have to take air
with you to the moon in the oxygen tanks, and there is
also a quantity of air inside the capsule." We can concede
to that thought, so what could we do then, to successfully

flee this persistent one? Perhaps we could go down to the

lake, expel all the air from our lungs, and jump in. As we
sink slowly to the bottom into this airless, watery asylum,
let's just try to think an evil thought and see if it is possible.
If the supposition stands, not one evil notion, not one
mean idea, hateful or vindictive consideration could be
imagined; neither could any sorrowful, painful, self-pitying
thought cross our minds; and furthermore, we couldn't
commit any evil acts whatsoever. But, oh, we know full
well, such thoughts and deeds are still possible, even in
the absence of air!
Therefore, even if the logical sense was all we had to go
on, could we not conclude that this air which the traducer
is a prince in is not referring to the natural air of our
atmosphere, but speaks clearly of something in the realm
of the spirit? Indeed, it does!
We will notice now the thing which is contained in the air
that the devil is prince over, namely, THE POWER. You
see, he is not the prince of the air itself, as we have
mentioned is typical of the soul, but he is the prince of
something in the soul which is the power and authority in
that particular realm. It is clear that the one primary source
of power and authority in anyone's soul is their MIND.The
mind is the creating generator (power) and inaugurator
(authority) of thoughts and imaginations, good or bad,
which in turn motivates the body to carry out what was
created in it.
We are aware that God created Adam with authority and
creative powers the power to create and set up

societies and systems, the power to create civilizations,

and the power to create governments and all other orders
we see today in the world of Adam. However, few realize
the serpent has been elected to be the prince over this
powerful authority (Gen 3:14 & 19d and Eph 2:2). Since he
is the ruler of that authority (the earthy, creative powers of
the mind), and he is a traducer, he is busy about his duties
of translating things from the high order of reasoning of
God to the lower order of reasoning of man.
This translator is also very consistent, for he can only
translate one way. He always conveys dusty thoughts and
carnal revelations, because this is all that the mind of man
can receive. Another reason they are always of the dust, is
because the serpent came from the same element that
man was formed of. Therefore, he can only draw from
what he is. When he speaks, it is a lie, he can't speak a
truth, for there is no truth in him to utter. "He speaks of
his own," or out of his own realm of existence (Jn
8:44), and since his own realm of being happens to be
dust, his origin being the ground, his words and thoughts
will always be a product of that substance dirt! There is
no truth in dirt. All scriptural truth (the reality of God)
comes from above, even from Jesus who is the truth, the
Lord from heaven. In other words, THE TRADUCER
VEILS THE TRUTH, while JESUS IS TRUTH UNVEILED!
HAS THE DEVIL BEEN DESTROYED?

The word evidence speaks of an outward sign or

manifestation of proof that can easily be seen. Hebrews
11:1 speaks of another type of evidence which is faith, and

this is the evidence of thingsnot seen. This Greek word for

evidence (elegchos) is more accurately
translated conviction (or audit in modern Greek), rather
than it being something tangible to the casual observer.
However, what we want to notice is the material
evidence of things.
It may be assumed that there is no evidence of spiritual
things, that everything from that unseen world has to be
accepted in blind faith. However, this assumption is not
always true, for when spiritual realities are to be revealed
to the lower realm there has to be something physically
visible to disclose these invisible things. For example: the
shimmering (physically visible) leaves of the golden aspen
in October is the tangible evidence that a cool, autumn
breeze is blowing. In like manner, we as the leaves of the
tree of life move when the wind of the Spirit blows through
us to let the world know God is alive and very active.
With this premise, that there is the physical, positive
evidence that God lives, then likewise, there is
the physical, negative evidence that there is a devil of
some sort. He may indeed be dead to some, and if this
has become a reality, it is good and we have no argument;
but to most he is still alive, and this is the issue we want to
approach for now.
The evidence of God's existence, as testified in the
beginning of this writing, is LIFE. On the other side is the
EVIDENCE OF THE COUNTER PART THE DEVIL
which is DEATH! Some might say, "The word indicates
that be CARNALLY MIND is death." (Rom 8:6). That is

exactly it, but you can't have the carnal mind without the
serpent being present, for God had decreed it so in Gen.
3:14. If there was no serpent in the field of the mind, there
would be nothing to expose it for what it is. Therefore,
as the mind of Christ (Eden, the Garden of
God) and the Holy Spirit (the dove)are inseparable and
go hand in hand to propagate life and peace, so are the
carnal mind (the field) and the spirit of the devil (the
serpent) interlocked as one to produce and manifest the
evidence of dissimulation, sin and death. (Stop and think
about this for awhile perhaps for a week or two for
starters.)
Along with the evidence of death, we might notice the core
of the many facets of death, and it is clearly stated that
they are not of God; which are, the lust of the eyes, the
lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. (I Jn 2:16). On
one hand, when we see the evidence of the super natural
power of holy life in people, the verdict is GOD
LIVES. On the other hand, when we see the evidence of
the power of death in humanity, we must then conclude
there is a devil. We can also note a couple of
scriptures which relate to this: Hebrews 2:14 informs us
that he has the power of death, and let us remember,
Jesus said the devil was a murderer from his beginning
(Jn 8:44).
Some still may say, "But the devil is only as real as you
believe him to be." I say that he is very real and
exists in everyone's mind until he is destroyed by the very
presence and power of Christ. Consider it, whether we

believe God exists or He doesn't, it makes no difference at

all to the reality of His being, and it is no different with the
devil. We can't just believe there is no such thing and have
him vanish. The devil cannot be gotten rid of that way no
more than one can get rid of God by thinking it done.
Brethren, I can truthfully say, I would really prefer him
being nothing more than an imagination in the mind of
man, for then he would have no power whatsoever of
death; however, the written word and evidence
unquestionably speak otherwise.
Not only does EVIDENCE dictate the fact, but GOD
CREATED THE DEVIL FOR A PURPOSE. He created
Him as the most subtle, enticing, influencing beastly thing
in the field of man's carnal mind. This crafty creature was
made to take mankind to the ultimate limit of temptations
and testings. The serpent, the devil, satan, the adversary
was not created by the mind of man but by God. The
serpent might have grown into a flying dragon in the minds
of men as a result of their imaginations, but his origin was
not the result of the will of man but the will and purpose of
God. He may have gotten his subtle nature from man
when God brought every beast of the field unto (into,
Heb.) him to see what he would call them. It was then that
Adam named (nature, Heb.) them. In other
words, he natured them, but it was God who formed the
serpent. (Gen 2:19). The field He formed him from might
have very well been the field of man's mind and from
whence his nature came, but it was still the creative hand
of God who formed him. The things that God forms is not a

figment of man's imagination, they are real whether on the

positive or negative side of the spectrum.
The serpent that God formed from the ground in the field
of man's mind (I believe we can justifiably spiritualize this)
can certainly be instrumental in producing vast
imaginations within. When this beast crawls under a pile of
stubble, it can make its host believe almost anything, even
that it does not exist at all. It can make him think that every
theological thought he conceives has come from the Holy
Spirit and mind of God; when in reality, with the majority of
the cases, they have come from the same
wily TRADUCER that beguiled Eve.
Just as a reminder, and for those who might not have read
our previous publication, we will briefly mention again
something about THE TRADUCER. This is the word
the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance gives for the
meaning of the Greek word, DIABOLLOS, which the
English word DEVIL is translated from. Diabollos is the
product of two words "dia" and "bollo." DIA (1228) is "A
CHANNEL OF AN ACT"
(Strong's) and BOLLOS means "TO THROW either with
force, or without force yet with a purpose, or even
carelessly." (Thayer). Hence, THE DEVIL IS A CHANNEL
THAT INFORMATION PASSES THROUGH before it
reaches carnal minds, and as it passes through the tunnel
it picks up the character of that tunnel.
The English word TO TRADUCE means, "TO
TRANSFER FROM ONE ORDER OF REASONING TO
ANOTHER ORDER OF REASONING, as to translate

from one language to another language." Hence, the

traducer, the devil, who is setting as the prince of the
power of the air (of men's natural minds)
is TRANSFERRING DATA; and of course, in the transfer,
it is always twisted or bent enough to cause a missing of
the true mark of Christ's reality. Remember? Jesus
said, "...There is no truth in him. When he speaketh a
lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the
father of it." (Jn 8:44). And he is that CROOKED
serpent. (Is 27:1).
When we hear religious teachings and acquire knowledge,
if the thoughts are not coming from the Spirit of Christ (the
anointing), they can very likely be passing through
this channel before reaching our minds. It's kind of funny,
isn't it? The average person knows that the
metaphysical "channelers" have no truths to set people
free, but they fail to realize there is the CHIEF
CHANNELERsetting in their own carnal minds, and they
are putting their lives in his hands of illogical reasoning.
What we hear from this translator might be enticing, but
only to the carnal mind; and Brethren, it will bring death.
Therefore, let us take heed of WHAT we are hearing as
well as HOW we are hearing, as Jesus cautioned in Mark
4:24 & Luke 8:18.
Regardless of how pleasing and understandable this
traducer brings God's word, even appearing to be a
message of light in great revelation, this shadowy
translator couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it.
We can then conclude, everything that he touches is

transformed into a concealed lie, and those who entertain

such things are soon beguiled. Most people don't want to
think they can be beguiled by this crafty killer; but
remember, this serpent is more subtle than any beast of
the field. His twisted accomplishments have given him the
credits of being the deceiver of the WHOLE world (Gen
3:1 & Rev 12:9). This leaves none out. Sometime or
another we all have either been deceived or are presently
in that state of deception. For the majority, it appears to be
the latter.
Evidence has been mounting up over the ages as the lying
murderer feeds upon the dust of humanity. It is even
mounting up against those who strongly believe there is
no devil, for we can see the stroke of sin and death is
prevalent, and they are still laying down into graves
DEAD. The reality of we being born into the kingdom of
God was not a result of merely believing in our minds that
God is alive, but as a result of the incorruptible word we
were conceived. Our birth was the result of reality. And,
likewise, death is not merely because of a belief in the
mind that satan exists, it is the product of the reality of his
literal presence that brings the sting of sin and death.
It is not uncommon to run across people who simply do
not believe there is such a thing as the two horned,
cloven-hoofed, pitchfork totin' devil. And this is
understandable, FOR THERE HAS NEVER BEEN SUCH
A MONSTROSITY. Such fabrications are mere illusions of
men's imaginative minds. However, there is the belief that
the devil has never existed in any form at all. Some

believe he once existed but is now dead, and there is a

scripture in the book of Hebrews which seems to support
this concept:
"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of
flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of
the same; that through death He might destroy [might
render idle or powerless, Grk] him that had [having,
Grk] the power, of death, that is, the devil." (Heb 2:14).
The idea has basically been that Jesus destroyed the devil
on the cross, and the only thing remaining of him is an
imagination, a fantasy, in the minds of the people who
believe he exists. If this is true, that he has really been
destroyed, the Greek grammar in this verse would be in
the indicative, perfect, tense or mode, which
simply indicates that something happened in the past
and it has been totally or perfectly completed; and
although I like that thought, let us see what is being said
here.
MIGHT DESTROY comes from one Greek
word KATARGESE, and it is not in the indicative,
perfect mode but is in the SUBJUNCTIVE, AORIST,
ACTIVE mode:
The SUBJUNCTIVE mode is a mode of HESITATING
AFFIRMATION. It speaks of something that is NOT YET
COMPLETE, that its completion is CONTINGENT on
something taking place. The subjunctive is usually found
in TWO TENSES, the PRESENT and the AORIST
(...action in the simplest form and undefined; it does not
distinguish between complete or incomplete action).

(Beginner's Grammar of the Greek N.T. Davis;

HARPER & ROW).
Therefore, in contrast to the assumption of the completed,
indicative perfect, the subjunctive aorist in this verse
simply states that the death of Jesus on the cross is
making idle/powerless the one who still has the power of
death the devil.
I can certainly see that the devil was
rendered perfectly idle and completely powerless in Jesus
Himself, for the record states that the liar came to Him and
could find nothing. To Jesus he was emphatically
destroyed, and His resurrection was a declaration of that
fact, but what about you and me? Is it the indicative
perfect, where it is a completed fact, or is it still
the subjunctive aoristwhere the battle is still yet to be won
in its totality? To some he may have very well been
rendered perfectly helpless, which we rejoice and
believe is possible. I cannot say this is a complete and
emphatic past for us personally, but his existence, for the
most part, is no longer a hindering factor in our lives. If
there is anything in our lives concerning the adversary, we
understand he is a tool in God's hand and is used for our
necessary exercising and growth; otherwise, we can
truthfully say, he is not a factor to us. However, regardless
of what he is or is not to some, from the bulk of evidence
seen in the world and the church, he is still very active in
the majority.
THE BRAZEN SERPENT

However, do not despair if you find yourselves falling short

of victory, for the conquest is yours when you see the
brass (judged) serpent lifted upon the cross. It is then that
his identity is known and judgment will be realized. With
understanding and confidence you will know he has no
power over you. At that time he shall then be rendered
idle, helpless, useless, null and void totally canceled
out, if you please!
When Israel looked upon the brazen serpent in the
wilderness, they did not die from the bites of the plague of
serpents they lived. They were seeing, and with faith
they knew God had judged the deadly vipers and had
rendered them totally helpless their venom no longer
had the power of death. Israel could see that God had
taken their adversary through the fire of judgment.
In like manner, with Jesus having been lifted upon the
cross, bearing our iniquity and sin (Is 53:6, 12), we can
also look and see that the serpent (symbolizing iniquity &
sin), who has the power of death, has been judged. When
once the vipers in our minds inflicted painful death, they
can now be left with no effect, for in judgment upon the
cross they are rendered idle. Therefore, let us shake them
off and into the fire, even as Paul did when he was
shipwrecked on an island. Death could not keep Jesus, for
the traducer could find no foothold in Him at all. He came
to Him but could find nothing to feed upon or to lay hold of
(Jn 14:30), the carnal mind of temptations was
nonexistent. Jesus took with Him the defeated foe and
held him high upon the cross for the whole world to see.

The cross and resurrection revealed to humanity and all

spiritual powers that the end of the days of man and subtle
beast had commenced.
The first man, Adam, found his end in Jesus that day, and
the serpent whose diet was dust had come to an end in
Jesus as well. The devil had been rendered null and void!
And when anyone sees by the Spirit of revelation that God
has judged that cunning beast, they can then cast him
from the heavens of their own minds and live. Brethren, it
is possible to live, but let us live because of thereality of
life and not be deceived by wishful thinking. Most
assuredly, however, until the spiritual eyes of people's
understanding are opened, wishful thinking may be all
some have to hold to, but it won't produce life. And of
course, there will still be others who will be so concerned
with the snake bites, they might fail to look up and see
what God has done to the viper. They shall then continue
on with venom in their veins; or rather, fearful
imaginations in their minds.
SATAN

When people read from the Bible or listen to teachings

and preachings, the words can be received in at least
three different forms. It can be positive, negative or
neutral. When it is neutral, there is no influencing factors
at all, and the natural mind understands the word naturally
it's in the light of the human mind. The positive form is
when the word is inspired by the Holy Spirit and we see it
in that Light. And with the negative, it is when the word
passes through the dark channel of the traducer. I guess

this is what gives people "tunnel vision." It is good to have

visions, but visions that pass through tunnels are not so
good, for they kill.
In closing today, let us very briefly take note of the
word SATAN. Satan is a Hebrew word and simply
means "an adversary." It is anything that is adverse to
ones well being, goal or cause, whether it is good, bad,
real or imagined. For instance, the angel of the Lord was
an adversary (satan, Heb.) to Balaam when on his way to
curse Israel (Num. 22:22). GESENIUS' HEB. CHALDEE
LEXICON TO THE OLD TESTAMENT gives this definition
of SATAN: "Adversary, as in war, and enemy, I Sam.
29:4, I Kg. 11:23, 25; in a court of justice, Psa. 109:6; and
whoever opposes himself to another, II Sam. 19:23...and
with the article it assumes the nature of a proper noun and
is Satan, the devil, the evil genius in the later theology of
the Jews, who seduces men." (Page, 788).
It should be evident to all, that God created the serpent,
and it is a thing to reckon with, which is a type of a
negative, spiritual influence upon the carnal mind of man.
However, from what history reveals, the devil existing as
an entity like a person was a later development of the
Jews, as quoted above. A study of the Greek and Hebrew
words for "SATAN" (adversary) and "DEVIL"
(traducer/translator), i.e. ADVERSE TRANSLATOR, seem
to also bear this out.
Within the ranks of Christianity it is assumed by not just a
few that the devil, (THE TRADUCER) is as powerful, or is
perhaps more powerful than God himself. Very often men

have his image on their minds more than they do their

Lord. Some continually worry that he is lurking around
every corner, and when they least expect it he is going to
hit them from their blind side with everything he has.
I do not want to minimize the atrocious evils of the
seducing serpent or sound cynical, but truthfully speaking,
do we not see an abundance of imaginations, thoughts
and misconceptions throughout the church? We will not go
into detail, but it has gotten so bad in some circles that
virtually nothing else is heard. The sermons and
conversations revolve so much around the war satan is
waging against the saints, that it is an absolute wonder
when a word comes forth which glorifies our triumphant
Lord of glory. The devil is given so much attention that the
very presence of God is gone unnoticed more often than
not.
Others may not have gone to extremes; however, the vast
majority have the devil being so much more victorious
than God that it is astounding. They have painted an
unbelievable picture of the devil. Not only does a large
number feel constantly defeated, but the majority believe
the devil will be winning at least 90% of humanity to an
everlasting damnation. This calamity, as it has been said,
is to take place in a burning pit called hell-fire. From the
stories told, we can picture a frustrated God with a bead of
sweat on His furrowed brow, anxiously wringing His
hands, just trying to figure a way out of this mess before it
is eternally too late. At that time it is assumed He will lose
His temper, throw up His hands and say, "I've had

enough!" When this happens, watch out, for this is when

He will supposedly turn everything over to His victor. This
will then initiate the great tribulation, as some teachings
have it. In reality, an event such as this would be
comparable to the president of a country handing his
nation over to the enemy as punishment because his
general lost the war while he (God), his general (Jesus)
and the army (the saints) go scot-free. Everyone becomes
a prisoner and burns except the ones who had the
responsibility of winning the war.
Absurd imaginations from the traducer, to say the least.
With such a mighty devil in their minds and with continual
recognition, which in itself is a form of worship, it makes
one wonder why they do not dispense with slanderous
name calling and just address him as Their Lord Satan
Almighty. Sounds blasphemous, doesn't it? and rightly so!
For it certainly would be blasphemy to voice such words;
but in reality, brethren, these grandiose ideas already
testify that they are in a measure worshiping this lowly
enemy, and this is no less blasphemous. To make my
point of how high some people esteem the devil, let me
bring your attention to this. Whenever a person brings to
light his true identity, many will get fire-eatin' mad and
curse that individual to hell forever. Pardon me for being
straight forward, but this is what happens when one of
their gods is tampered with. On the other hand, one could
say all kinds of slanderous things about the true and living
God, and the average comment would merely be, "The
poor fool, he'll come to his senses someday."
SATAN THE ADVERSARY

If satan, the devil, is not what he has been thought to be,

what then, might he be? Some call him
an it, depersonalizing the devil, but Jesus and the writers
of the scriptures used pronouns when referring
to him; therefore, we conclude that it is a proper usage.
Nevertheless, it appears that the word SATAN should not
be treated as a proper noun. From our research we find
that the Hebrew does not regard the word as one's
personal name. Satan is a transliterated Hebrew word,
pronounced saw-tawn. (A transliterated word is carried
over from one language to another with very little spelling
change, if any at all. The letters are given the new
language's alphabet, otherwise, it remains basically the
same.) History also shows that satan was not always
regarded as an individualbut became a part of the Jew's
religion later on (ref. Pub #38, pg 8).
The Hebrew word satan is used two ways, with the
definite article, the satan, and without the article. In more
modern times, it has been assumed that the definite article
was suggesting a personal name; therefore, it has been
commonly rendered that way (Satan). However, to use
that premise, it would also be necessary to translate the
word devil as a personal name when the definite article is
used with it, but this is never done. Devil is always used
as a descriptive title, while satan is very often translated
as the name for the devil.
The word, Satan, simply means "an adversary." It
is anything that is adverse to ones desires, well being,
goals or causes, whether they are good, bad, real or

imagined. One example of how this word can be used

says that the angel of the Lord was a satan. This was
the angel who stood in Balaam's way when he was on his
way to curse Israel. It relates, "...And the angel of the
Lordstood in the way for and ADVERSARY (SATAN,
Heb.) against him." (Num. 22:22). Satan
is translated properly here and we quote GESENIUS'
HEB. CHALDEE LEXICON TO THE OLD TESTAMENT for
confirmation: SATAN "Adversary, as in war, an
enemy, I Sam. 29:4, I Kg. 11:23, 25; in a court of
justice, Psa. 109:6; and whoever opposes himself to
another, II Sam. 19:23...."
Truthfully speaking, and according to the definition of this
word, any saint of God could be called a satan, and it
would be a compliment. This, of course, is when they are
engaged in battle againsttheir enemy, the devil. They
would then be an adversary to the devil. They would be in
opposition to their foe. Hence, they would be a SATAN to
SATAN. In other words, they would be andadversary to
their adversary. They would
be opposing their opposition. They would
be an enemy to their enemy, etc.
Now don't start spreading rumors that Brother Roach is
saying Christians are devils, for this IS NOT what is
being said here. (Please read and listen carefully.) You
see, the DEVIL is a TRADUCER, a channel of an act, as
one language is transferred through a translator into
another language. This is the spiritual influence which sets
in the carnal minds of all humanity. On the other hand, a

SATAN is simply an ADVERSARY, regardless of whether

it is on God's side or the enemy's. It can be the devil in the
mind, for this indeed is an adversary to us, but it can also
be something or someone other than this. It can be one of
the good guys or one of the bad guys. It can be a bad
spirit that wars against the Holy Spirit, or it can be the
other way around. A SATAN IS SIMPLY AN ADVERSE
OPPONENT TO SOMEONE OR SOMETHING ELSE.
When the definite article "the" is used with the
word satan, this is not stating the devil's name but is
saying this adversary is the chief adversary to whomever
it is an adversary to. This is no doubt why the government
of Iran calls The United States of America "THE GREAT
SATAN"; for indeed, we are THE GREATEST
ADVERSARY they have. We stand in the way of their
desires, their goals and aspirations of tyranny. The United
States of America is like the angel of the Lord, with a
flaming sword in hand, who is adversely hindering their
evil progress. Therefore, they can rightly say we
are their great satan, but we are not the satan that is fixed
in the average Christian's minds.
I have no idea what Iran's true concept of satan is but
would venture to say, they understand the meaning of the
word and use it accordingly. With the mind-set our
western, civilized nations have, however, I doubt that the
word will ever be able to be used properly. Even with a
deliberated study, some people will still have a hard time
understanding what either the devil or the satan truly is, for

tradition and mind-sets are extremely blinding and almost

impossible to overcome.
HAVE OLD THINGS PASSED AWAY?

Whatever the traditional mind-sets are with the majority in

the church today, we can be assured they have not seen
that the devil's chief job is that of a traducer. During the
time of his masquerading, he has been seen as everything
except for what he is. This has attributed to his great
success of inducing a multitude of erroneous
theological concepts over the centuries. One such
concept is how God's creation will be changed from the
image of the adamic man to that of glorified, spiritual sons
and daughters of God.
Many feel the change will come at the first resurrection.
Some believe they will be instantly changed when the
trumpet sounds and then fly away to meet the Lord in the
clouds. Others see it differently and express a belief in the
manifestation of the sons of God, and all that necessary is
to sit tight and wait for it to happen. It seems that a large
number are under the assumption that to be in those elite
ranks of glory, all they have to do is to merely believe in
certain doctrines. This will hopefully qualify them for a
place of celestial honor at the Kings right hand. This is
primarily the same thought as those who embrace the
rapture, the basic difference is they don't fly.
However, according to what we read, neither way holds
the essence of the matter. Most assuredly, there is a
resurrection (Rev 20:6), there is also a catching away (I

Thes 4:17), and there will certainly be a manifestation of

the sons of God (Rom 8:19); however, much knowledge
seems to be lacking in all three of these doctrinal areas,
which we will not be covering to any degree, since they
are not our subject matter today. We believe the change
from an earthy creature to that of the heavens is not quite
the same as many of us had presumed it to be.
Nevertheless, before we notice what it might be, we will
first look into some interesting stepping stones that lead to
it.
"Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new. And all things are of
God...." (II Cor 5:17-18) . From the surface this may
appear to say, we are new creatures in totality, all things
in our old lives have passed away and are no more. It
also seems to say that everything has already become
new. And furthermore, it looks as if the word does
declare, "All things are of God."
We have heard more than a few who had taught it in that
manner, and I have not been totally guiltless myself
(please forgive me for my shortsightedness). These well
meaning brothers and sisters across the land have firmly
said, "You are a new creation in Christ! All the old things
have completely passed away, all those old things have
become entirely new, and there is not one old thing
remaining in your lives! If it doesn't look that way, then it's
a lying vanity, it's a figment of your imagination. For you

see, the word says they have emphatically passed away

and have already become new. Just believe what it says!"
I had not personally taught much in those verses, but it is
possible for you to have heard me picking up the thought
and saying, "All things are of God...now that's an
interesting subject." However, I never would elaborate on
this "interesting subject." The reason being, if all things are
of God, I was not sure how to deal with what "all things
are"; such as, murder, rape, incest, child molestation,
homosexuality, adultery, devil worship, human sacrifice,
greed, hate, lust, envy, strife, and the list goes on. What it
would boil down to, if all things are truly of God, every
conceivable thought and action that the human mind can
come up with would have to be a product of our holy God.
That would be true if this is what II Corinthians 5:18 truly
says. However, there might be something hidden slightly
beneath the surface of what we read. Let us, therefore, get
our grammatical shovels and see what is there.
It is literally impossible to translate word for word from the
Greek to any other language and get the full meaning of
the thought. Therefore, since the verb tenses here is in
the indicative, aorist, active, we will amplify these verses
in order to convey what the ancient Greek is more
accurately saying. "Therefore, if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creation, the old things HAVE
passed, ARE passing, and SHALL CONTINUE to
pass away; behold all things HAVE become, ARE
becoming, and SHALL CONTINUE to become new.
And all these NEW THINGS are of God."

Praise God! It is all the new things that are of God! Not
the totality of all things which would include every
conceivable thing the lust and greed of man's carnal mind
might conjure up while under the influence of the traducer!
The context declares what things are of God. IT IS THE NE-W THINGS! Many Greek scholars and most Bible
translations also render it as the new things. Only five out
of the sixteen various Bible translations I have checked in
my own library render it as the KJV has. The others
unanimously say it is the NEW THINGS that are of God.
If we have any understanding at all about the power of the
old things that were in our former lives, we would quickly
know they could never be conquered except by God. This,
of course, is a result of the godly, new things dethroning
and taking the place of the old. In this same frame of
thought, and also noticing the Greek tense (the indicative,
present, active), Revelation 21:5 says, "Behold,
Ihave made and I am making all things new." It is a past
and present of the old becoming new. Incidentally, aren't
we glad He didn't say "I shall make all new things?" For if
He was making all new things, He would have to get rid of
us and make something new in our place. But praise God,
he's making us new! He's making all things new! Let us
now look and see how He is making things new.
THE TRANSFORMATION "Be not conformed to this
world, but be ye TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of
your mind." (Rom 12:2). The word transformed is
translated from the Greek word metamorphoo. It is from
this word we get our transliterated, English

word metamorphose. Therefore, according to this verse,

our change is due to the process of a metamorphose. We
might also note: It does not say, "...Be ye transformed by
resurrection." It does not say, "...Be transformed by being
raptured." It does not say, "be ye transformed by the
manifestation of the sons of God." And it does not say that
the transformation comes by being faithful and just
believing or confessing it. However, it DOES say, "...Be
ye transformed BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR
MIND."This is the simple principle involved in the
transformation.
The imaginations of mankind's mind, as a consequence of
the influencing traducer, has tried to get instant
glorification. Men have wanted it instantly, like instant
cereal, instant pudding, instant everything. This is really an
instant world we're living in. We want everything post
haste right now! Therefore, we design by imagination
an instant transformation. However, dear ones, it just
doesn't work that way, for as the word and evidence
obviously declares, it's by the renewing of the mind.
Someone might ask, "What do we do then? Are we to get
books and educate our minds and continuously meditate
on what we've learned? Dale Carnegie has a good
positive thinking book. Will that help, or should we start
reading the bible and get sound, biblical thoughts in our
mind?" Well, it's better to have a cleaned up adamic
mind than to have a dirty adamic mind; but that still
won't do it. Even though one intellectually knows all the
mysteries of the Bible and lives accordingly, he is still

Adam. A little better than most, perhaps, but it is Adam just

the same. This is not what God is looking for. He wants
something better. What He wants and will have is
a transformed man.
It is an absolute must to receive from a higher realm than
what Adam can give in order to have our minds renewed.
The change comes from the Lord from heaven, not from
the god of this age (the man of earth). You see, the
heavenly Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and
that faith is finished/manifested through transformation as
a result of renewing our minds.
This word, renewing, is adequately rendered in Romans
12:2; however, to be a little more accurate, the word could
be translated RENOVATION (Strong's Exh. Conc.). We
are then transformed by the renovation of our minds.
There is only a slight difference in the two words, but when
renovation is used, we get the thought of a
complete house clearing, cleaning and then a total
refurbishing. Everything old is removed and replaced
with all new furnishings. God, however, does something
differently in His renovation. He does it just the opposite.
He does not clear out the old things and leave our minds a
total void and then start filling them with new thoughts. He
starts bringing in the new thoughts first, and with this the
old passes away and gives place to the new and all
this is what is of God. Think about it...
THE LAW OF TRANSFORMATION
Romans 12:2 speaks of the principle of renovating the mind that leads to the
end product of transformation. We will glance at Romans 8:2 and note the law

which institutes that principle. "For THE LAW of THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN
CHRIST JESUS hath made me free from THE LAW of SIN AND
DEATH." What we have here are two contrasting laws and the new one
supersedes and nullifies the old one. The law of Life does away with the law
of sin and death. The first law we read about in the Bible is the law of sin and
death, "...Thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou
shalt surely die." (Gen 2:17). It is evident the first Adam thoroughly fulfilled
the first law he and those in him died (the all). The last law established
was the law of the Spirit of life, and the last Adam, Jesus Christ, executed
and established that law; and He has surely lived, as well as all those in Him
their federal head.
Laws are always established by higher authorities by the federal heads of
kingdoms and until those heads are removed, or higher powers abolish the
laws, they will abide. Laws are exact and always work the same. For example,
we can note the physical law of gravity. Objects always fall downward unless
there is a greater law that overpowers the first and pushes it upward.
However, as long as there is no greater law adversely working against it, that
law always manifests the same results.
It is the same with the spiritual laws of God, they produce exact results as
they are activated. When one misses the mark of righteousness in Christ
Jesus, they have sinned and have enacted the first law, which eventually
manifests the fruit of death. It is a simple law that was instituted by God and
initiated by Adam. But, praise God, we now see a new law which supersedes
and does away with the old law. This law was also instituted by God and
initiated by a man, but this man was the last Adam, Jesus. This greater law
was the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus!
The law of sin and death, without fail, has always been faithful to its
benefactors and produces death when imposed. Likewise then, the greater
law of life in Christ Jesus will never fail in what it was designed to do for its
benefactors TO FREE THEM ALL FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND
DEATH! This law, however, is not just a hypothetical thing that abides in the
past as Romans 8:2 appears to say, i.e. that "The law of life...HAS MADE me
free...."
There was a time when I had taught it that way, as something already
accomplished. I had tried very earnestly to believe we had been made totally
free from the law of sin and death. However, something just didn't seem right.
It was evident that we still missed the mark to some degree. We were still
dying. We were all continuing to age. And we sometimes still lost our tempers,

among other things. Even though we would say these things were "lying
vanities," there was a lot of concrete evidence that spoke otherwise. We must
have missed something in our analysis of this scripture. Evidence suggested
that the old law of sin and death was still in operation. That would mean the
law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus had not totally finished its course.
The Greek sheds some light here, and it is amplified by translating it
according to the proper tense. "For the law of the spirit of life in Christ
Jesus HATH, IS and SHALL CONTINUE to makeme free from the law of
sin and death." The words hath made is in the same tense as the verbs we
covered earlier in II Cor. 5:17, which is the indicative, aorist,
active. Remember? This puts the action in
the past, present and future. Therefore, this law of life has not yet made
most of us completely free from the law of sin and death. However, we can
readily declare with all assurance that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus has made us free in many areas, it is now making us free in other
areas, and it shall continue to make us free from the law of sin and death
in yet more areas of our lives. This law will continue until there is no
more sin, until there is no more death and until there are no more
graves. We will then resound the glorious cry, "O death, where is thy
sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" What a tremendous law
Transformation is! There shall be no more sting of death, and there shall be
no more victory of the grave. PRAISE GOD NO MORE GRAVES!

Brethren, let us not linger in the imaginative ideas of the

traducer and miss the mark of transformation in this age,
but let us take things in context and join them to the Spirit
of the word. Let us see that it is a process, that there is
the great law of Life presently working in us, and that
it shall never cease to work until it has finished its
infallible course for all. And if we happen to go to the
grave, so what? We shouldn't bemoan it, because the law
is working in us, and it will continue to work and never stop
working until there is no more sin and no more death.
Praise God for His laws, especially for His law of
transformation HIS GREAT LAW OF LIFE IN CHRIST
JESUS!!!

he Biblical Truth of the Pre-Adamic Age

The Pre-Adamic Age is the First Age of the Seven Ages in Gods Plan for All. It began at the
creation of the heavens and the earth, and ended at the start of the six-day creation week, during
which Adam and Eve were created. The Pre-Adamic Age was the age when angels were the key
focus
of
Gods
dealings.
The First Age is an important age in Gods Plan for All. It helps us to appreciate and understand
the following five important facts, which we cover in this chapter:
1. Our earth is much older than six thousand years.

Let

When God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, He created the earth in
such a beautiful and perfect condition that the angels responded with joyful singing and
shouting.

There was a massive cataclysmic global judgement of God against the world of Lucifer
(Satan) and his angels when they sinned by rebelling against God during the PreAdamic Age. Since then, God has chained Satan and his fallen angels in spiritual
darkness and confined them to earth and its heaven (earths atmosphere), awaiting their
final judgement in the Lake of Fire.

Earths geology has been greatly impacted and shaped by this massive Pre-Adamic
cataclysmic global judgement from God.

There will be another massive cataclysmic global judgement from God against this
present sinful world, at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

earth.

The heavens mean the whole complete universe consisting of billions of galaxies with billions of
stars and planets. Our minds cannot even begin to grasp the wonders and limitless power of God,
which
the
universe
displays.
In this very first verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, God singles out the earth as the most important
planet in the entire universe. This is because God has a tremendous purpose to use the earth as
the centre of the universe. It is on earth that God will establish His Eternal Kingdom of the New
Heaven and the New Earth, after He has first refined and cleansed the earth during the Lake of
Fire
Judgement
Age.

So, how did God create the universe and the earth in the beginning? The Bible says that God
simply commanded
and
they
were
created.
Psalm
148:2-5
2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! 3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise
Him, all you stars of light! 4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the
heavens! 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created.
The creation of the entire universe, including the earth, must be understood as an instantaneous
creation at the command of God. When God created the universe in the beginning, He also
designed and created the Law of Gravity. God introduced the Law of Gravity for the stability and
for the continual existence of the universe. All bodies in the universe are held together and
maintain their orbits because of gravitation. Smaller bodies are held in their orbits by bigger
bodies. Moons orbit planets, planets orbit stars, stars orbit galactic centres, and galaxies orbit
other
galaxies
in
clusters.
The important point to understand is that it is impossible for the moon to exist without the earth,
and it is impossible for the earth to exist without the sun, and for the sun to exist without our
galaxy, the Milky Way, and for the Milky Way to exist without other galaxies. So, the whole
universe must have been created instantaneously for it to exist, and this is exactly what God did
in the beginning, as Psalm 148:5 above confirms, He commanded and they were created.
Time began when God created the earth, the sun and the moon with the rest of the universe, in
the beginning. This is when God's Plan of the Ages began. How long ago was the beginning
when God commanded and instantaneously created the universe with the earth? The Bible does
not say. However, star distances and many other modern scientific methods, all show us that the
beginning was many millions of years ago. It cannot have been around six-ten thousand years
ago, as believed by Young Earth Creationists. Even Young Earth Creationists themselves admit
that star distance is a problem when defending their belief in a young earth. Most probably,
scientists have overestimated the age of our earth as being about 4.5 billion years old, but we can
be absolutely sure that the earth is much older than six-ten thousand years.
Young Earth Creationists claim to interpret the Genesis account of creationliterally to justify
their belief in a young earth. They say that anything other than about six-ten thousand years is
playing around with the literal translation of the creation account. In actuality, it is the Young
Earth Creationists themselves who play around with the literal meaning of the Genesis account
of creation. Let us now see what the Bible says and what Young Earth Creationism (YEC) says.
The Bible says that God created the earth in the beginning; YEC says that God created the
earth in
the
first
day.
The Bible says that God created the sun and the moon in the beginning; YEC says that God
created
the
sun
and
the
moon in
the
fourth
day.
The Bible says that God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning; YEC says that God
created
the
heavens
and
the
earth in
six
days.

Young Earth Creationism misunderstands the Genesis account of God's creation when it
misinterprets the very first verse of the Bible (Genesis 1:1) as being a summary statement of the
six-day creation account, which is described in Genesis 1:3-31. This misunderstanding of the
very first verse of the Bible has led Young Earth Creationism to believe that God created the
earth on the first day without the sun, and that it wasn't until the fourth daythat God created
the sun, the moon and the stars. This is not only biblically untrue but also scientifically
nonsensical. It is impossible for a 24-hour day comprising of both light and darkness, day and
night with morning and evening to occur, without both the earth and the sun existing
together. This is elementary physics and common sense. The Bible is extremely logical and it
does not contradict true science, after all God Himself is the greatest scientist. God does not want
us to believe in something that is illogical and scientifically stupid.
We shall show you later why Young Earth Creationism confuses the beginning of the heavens
and the earth many millions of years ago, as stated in Genesis 1:1, with the beginning of the
Adamic Age, approximately six-ten thousand years ago, as described in Genesis 1:3-31.
Let us now go on to understand the literal interpretation of the Genesis creation account as the
Bible
actually
teaches.
What was the state of the earth when God created it, along with the rest of the universe, in the
beginning?
Let
us
see
what
the
Bible
says.
Job
38:4-7 (NIV)
4 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. 5 Who
marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? 6 On
what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone 7 while the morning stars sang together
and
all
the
angels
shouted
for
joy?
Job Chapters 38 and 39 show God humbling Job, who thought that he had a great fount of
knowledge. In the verses above, God challenges Job about his knowledge of the creation of the
earth. God did this to make Job acknowledge God's greatness and to show Job that he knew
absolutely nothing about how and when God had created the earth.
Notice that all the angels sang and shouted for joy when God laid the foundations of the earth.
Morning
stars
here
also
refers
to
angels.
The verses above reveal two important truths:
1. God created angels before He created the earth and the universe.
1

When God created the earth in the beginning, He created it in such a beautiful and
perfect condition that the angels responded with joyful singing and shouting.

However, shockingly, in the second verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:2, we read that the earth had
changed from its beautiful and perfect state, when it was first created in the beginning, to a

totally different ruined state. It had become formless, empty, in darkness and submerged under
water.
Genesis
1:2 (NIV)
Now the earth was (hayah, meaning became) formless, and empty, darkness was over the surface
of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Since God did not create the earth in a formless, empty, dark and flooded state in the beginning,
then it must have become that way at a later date. This is exactly what happened to the earth,
because an accurate translation of the Hebrew word hayah, in Genesis 1:2 above, is became as
given in Strong's H1961, and as also confirmed by the NIV in their footnote.
Young Earth Creationism argues that Genesis 1:2 is the description of a stage in the construction
of the earth. It is a misunderstanding and misinterpretation of this verse to believe that God
firstly had to create the earth in a formless, empty, dark state and totally submerged under water
in order to proceed and complete the rest of His beautiful creation on earth.
The truth of the Bible is that Genesis 1:2 is the description of the earth resulting from God's
massive cataclysmic global judgement because of the sins of angels. It is not speaking about a
stage in the construction of the earth, as mistakenly believed by Young Earth Creationists. Let us
now have a closer look at Genesis 1:2 to understand that it is indeed a description of Gods
global
judgement.
God's

Age

Genesis
1:2 (NIV)
Now the earth was (hayah, meaning became) formless (tohuw), and empty (bohuw), darkness
was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
The Bible is abundantly clear that the inspired Hebrew words tohuw andbohuw in Genesis 1:2
above, when used together, are the descriptive words for God's global judgement.
The Hebrew word tohuw occurs 20 times in the Old Testament with meanings of chaotic,
nothing, confusion, waste, wilderness, emptiness, formless and vain. The best meaning
of tohuw in Genesis 1:2 is chaotic. Something that is in a confused, wasted, empty, flooded and
dark
state
is
obviously
in
a
chaotic
state.
The Hebrew word bohuw occurs 3 times in the Old Testament with meanings of void and waste.
We believe that God inspired the use of the Hebrew wordbohuw in Genesis 1:2 to reinforce the
meaning
of tohuw,
which
we
have
just
shown
means chaotic.
The Bible specifically confirms in Isaiah 45:18 below that the earth was notcreated in the
chaotic
state
that
we
see
in
Genesis
1:2.
Isaiah

45:18

For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made
it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain (tohuw, meaning chaotic), Who formed
it
to
be
inhabited:
'I
am
the
LORD,
and
there
is
no
other'.
So

an

accurate

translation

of

Genesis

1:2

is:

Genesis
1:2
The earth became chaotic and wasted and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit
of
God
was
hovering
over
the
face
of
the
waters.
Please understand that God did not create the earth in the beginning (Genesis 1:1) in a chaotic,
wasted, dark state submerged under water. The earth became like that because a massive
cataclysmic change took place on earth between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.
Let us believe what the Bible says that God did not create the earth in vain in an uninhabitable,
chaotic (tohuw) state. As we have shown from Scripture, the earth was created in such a beautiful
state that the angels sang and shouted for joy. Most certainly, the angels would not have sung and
shouted for joy over the creation of a chaotic, wasted, flooded and dark earth.
It is abundantly clear from Scripture that there was a gap of time between the creation of the
beautiful earth of Genesis 1:1 and the totally ruined chaotic earth of Genesis 1:2. This gap of
time is the Pre-Adamic Age, which lasted for many millions of years. So, the key question is:
Why did the earth become chaotic and ruined as described in Genesis 1:2? Let us now go on to
understand that Genesis 1:2 is the description of the earth resulting from God's global judgement
because
of
the
sins
of
angels.
The

sins

of

angels

2 Peter 2:4-6 is an account of three important historical judgements of God, which helps us to
understand
the
consequences
of
sin.
2
Peter
2:4-6
4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell (tartarus) and
delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of
righteousness,
bringing
in
the
flood
on
the
world
of
the
ungodly;
6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction,
making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly.
Sin has consequences and it brings judgement from God in the form of death and destruction.
Please take note of the correct chronological order in which these judgements are listed in the
scripture above. The judgement against theangels who sinned happened first, followed much
later by the judgement against Noahs world, which in turn was followed much later by the

judgement

against

Sodom

and

Gomorrah.

In verse 4 above, the Greek word tartarus is mistranslated as hell. Tartarus is used only once in
the Bible, and the context in which it appears reveals the meaning of the word as a prison of
spiritual darkness. God has chainedSatan and his fallen angels in spiritual darkness and
confined them to earth and its heaven (earths atmosphere) awaiting their final judgement in a
future
age-to-come
Lake
of
Fire.
Who

sinned

first,

angels

or

man?

The fact that angels sinned before man cannot be disputed, because Satan was already present as
a sinner in the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned. Young Earth Creationists deny this
obvious and basic truth that sin first entered the world through angels. This obvious truth is
confirmed by the historical sequence of the three judgements listed in the verses above, where
the
Bible
places
the
sins
of
angels
before
the
sins
of
man.
Young Earth Creationism misunderstands Romans 5:12 when it argues that sin and death first
entered the world through man, and not through angels. Let us examine Romans 5:12 in detail, as
it is one of three key 'proof texts' used by Young Earth Creationists to support their belief. The
other two key 'proof texts' are Exodus 20:11 and Genesis 1:31, which we shall also fully deal
with
later
in
this
chapter.
Romans
5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death
spread
to
all
men,
because
all
sinned.
This verse specifically speaks about the sin of one man affecting the whole of the human race.
Yes, sin entered the human world through one man, Adam, thus God judged mans sin by
bringing death (the wages of sin is death) anddeath spread to all men because of Adams sin.
However, please note that Romans 5:12 above speaks only about the sin and death which
entered theAdamic world through the sin of Adam, but this scripture does not address the sin
which entered the Pre-Adamic world through the sin of angels. The fact that sin brings Gods
judgement of death to men only and not to angels, who are spirits that cannot die, further
confirms that Romans 5:12 specifically refers to sin entering the human world through one man.
Young Earth Creationists misunderstand Romans 5:12 above to teach that man sinned before
angels sinned. Remember that Satan was already a sinful fallen angel in the Garden of Eden
when he tempted Adam and Eve to sin, thus, it is totally unscriptural and nonsensical to say that
Adam
sinned
before
Satan.
The Bible is clear that Satan is a fallen angel and he has the following of other fallen angels.
Jesus Christ said that He beheld Satan fall like lighting from heaven.
Luke
And He

said

to

them,

saw

Satan

fall

like

lightning

from

10:18
heaven.

When did Jesus Christ see Satan fall like lighting from heaven? It can only have been during the
Pre-Adamic Age, and not during the Adamic Age. This is because Satan was already a sinful
fallen angel confined to earth at the start of the Adamic Age. There is absolutely nothing in the
Bible to suggest that Satan was cast down to earth from heaven after God had created Adam and
Eve,
during
the
Adamic
Age.
We will now examine relevant scriptures in some detail to see how sin first entered the PreAdamic
world
through
Satan
and
his
fallen
angels.
Isaiah
14:12-15
12 How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (heylel), son of the morning! How you are cut
down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! 13 For you have said in your heart: 'I will
ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount
of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds, I will be like the Most High.' 15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol (meaning the
Pit), To
the
lowest
depths
of
the
Pit.
This scripture confirms Jesuss statement in Luke 10:18 above that He saw Satan fall from
heaven. It was indeed Satan (previously the holy angel Lucifer) whom Jesus saw fall from
heaven when God cast him back down to earth following his rebellion.
Isaiah Chapter 14 refers to both the king of Babylon and Lucifer. However, it is important to note
that Isaiah 14:12-15 above is specifically speaking about Lucifer, who became Satan. This
scripture is not referring to the king of Babylon. It is referring to a fallen angelic being and not a
man, as no man is capable of ascending above the heights of the clouds. Notice that Lucifer
coveted the throne of God and he wanted to become like the Most High. However, God judged
him for his sin of rebellion by casting him down to the lowest depths of the pit of this earth. As a
result, the earth became chaotic, empty, dark and submerged under water because of
Gods tohuw and bohuwjudgement of the sinful rebellious angels, as previously described.
Please note that the Hebrew word heylel is translated as Lucifer in the NKJV verse Isaiah 14:12
above. Lucifer is a Latin word meaning Light Bearer, which first appeared in the Latin Vulgate
circa 400 AD. This Latin word Lucifer has been retained by both the KJV and the NKJV, thus the
Christian world has been familiar with the name Lucifer for over a thousand years. Modern
versions of the Bible translate heylel to mean Morning Star, Bright Star, Shining One and Day
Star, all of which are similar to the Latin word Lucifer, meaning Light Bearer. Therefore, Lucifer
is as good a name to use as any of the other names given in other translations.
Let us now read a parallel scripture about the fall of Lucifer given in Ezekiel 28.
Ezekiel
28:12-15
12 Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord
GOD: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in
Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and
diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship
of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. 14 You were the

anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You
walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. 15 You were perfect in your ways from the day
you
were
created, Till
iniquity
was
found
in
you.
Ezekiel Chapter 28 begins by describing the king of Tyre whose heart was lifted up and who
thought that he was a god. The power and deceiver behind the king of Tyre was Satan
himself. The scripture Ezekiel 28:12-15 above takes us on from speaking about the king of Tyre
to speaking about Lucifer who became Satan, as these verses can only fit the description of a
fallen angelic being, and not a man. Lucifer was created perfect in his ways. He was the seal of
perfection, full of wisdom, the anointed cherub and perfect in beauty before iniquity was found
in him when he rebelled against God. In contrast, the king of Tyre was born imperfect with a
fallen, sinful Adamic nature, and he was not the anointed cherub. Therefore, these verses can
only refer to Satan, who was the real influencing power behind the king of Tyre.
It was Lucifer and not the king of Tyre whom God had placed in Eden, the Garden of God. This
Garden of Eden was not the same Garden of Eden of the Adamic Age, where Satan was present
as
a
sinful
fallen
angel
who
lied
to
and
deceived
Eve.
It is important to understand that the Bible speaks of at least three Gardens of Eden in three
different ages. There was the first Garden of Eden in the Pre-Adamic Age, as given in Ezekiel
28:13 above. There was the second Garden of Eden during the Adamic Age, as given in Genesis
2:15. There will be yet another, the third Garden of Eden, in the coming Millennial Age of Jesus
Christ,
as
given
in
Ezekiel
36:35.
A garden has both plant and animal life, thus God created the Pre-Adamic world with plants and
animals. The enormous deposits and reservoirs under the earth's surface of the fossil fuels; coal,
oil and gas, and the abundant existence of fossils, throughout the world today, bear witness to the
fact that the Pre-Adamic earth was absolutely teeming with luxuriant plant and animal life. The
beautiful Pre-Adamic Garden of Eden earth was destroyed after war broke out in heaven
between the holy angels led by Michael and the fallen angels led by Satan.
Revelation
12:7-9
7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon
and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any
longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who
deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
These verses describe a war that broke out in heaven between two armies of angels. We are
speaking about an angelic war between Gods Holy angels and the sinful rebellious angels. This
angelic war started in heaven but wasfinished on earth when God cast Satan and his angels out
of heaven back down to earth. As a result, the whole beautiful Pre-Adamic Garden of Eden earth
suffered cataclysmic violence of unimaginable proportions of death, destruction, flooding, and
darkness.
Jude
6
And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved

in

everlasting

chains

under

darkness

for

the

judgment

of

the

great

day.

Angels did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode. This was during the PreAdamic age when iniquity (sin) was found in Lucifers heart. The holy angel Lucifer became the
sinful angel Satan, who along with a following of his angels, left this earth (their proper domain)
and ascended above the clouds in rebellion to try to usurp Gods throne in heaven. God cast them
back down to earth and they are now kept in chains of spiritual darkness, restricted in movement
to this earth and its heaven (earths atmosphere) and reserved for their final judgement which
will take place during the age-to-come Lake of Fire Judgement Age, as discussed in Chapter 13.
Job 1:6 which says, Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves
before the LORD, and Satan also came among themdoes not mean that Satan can leave earth
and its atmosphere, and have access to Gods throne in heaven. The Bible does not contradict
itself. Revelation 12:8 quoted above clearly says that no place was found in heaven (God's
dwelling place) any longer for Satan and his angels. We showed in Chapter 3 that Father God
does everything through His Son. So, it was on earth that Satan presented himself before the
Lord,
God
the
Son,
who
represented
His
Father
God
in
heaven.
Let us now summarise the events that lead to the fall of Lucifer and his angels. Lucifer was the
anointed cherub who governed the beautiful luxuriant Garden of Eden earth in the Pre-Adamic
world. He was adorned with precious stones and gifted with musical instruments to worship God.
He had freedom of movement as a trusted holy angel of God to move back and forth from earth
to heaven (Gods dwelling place). Lucifer became tempted and sinned when iniquity was found
in his heart. He became jealous of God and decided to lead a rebellion to try to usurp God from
His throne in heaven. Lucifer, a holy angel and bearer of light, became Satan, a sinful angel of
darkness, because of his sin of rebellion. Satan and his angels (a third of the angels) ascended
from the earth to rebel against God in heaven. War broke out in heaven and Michael and his
angels defeated Satan and his angels, who were violently cast back down to earth (Revelation
12:4) with cataclysmic global consequences for the earth. Satan and his angels are now confined
to earth and its atmosphere, chained in spiritual darkness, reserved until their final judgement in
the
Lake
of
Fire.
We can now confidently conclude that when the Bible says in Genesis 1:2, 'The earth became
chaotic and wasted and darkness was on the face of the deep... ' that the Bible is speaking about
God's global cataclysmic tohuw andbohuw judgement when He cast Satan and his fallen angels
back down to earth because of their sin of rebellion. This all happened sometime, millions of
years ago, in the Pre-Adamic Age. The beautiful Pre-Adamic Garden of Eden earth of Genesis
1:1, which God created in the beginning, was transformed into a totally ruined chaotic earth
shrouded in darkness and covered by deep frozen flood waters (ice) by the time we come to
Genesis
1:2.
The Bible affirms that Genesis 1:2 is indeed speaking about the state of the earth, which resulted
from Gods judgement, and it is not the description of a stage in the construction of the earth, as
mistakenly believed by Young Earth Creationism. The Hebrew words tohuw and bohuw occur
together in the same verse only twice in the whole of the Bible. The first time is in Genesis 1:2
and the second time is in Jeremiah 4:23, which also describes Gods global judgement. However,

the Jeremiah 4:23 global judgement of God is yet to be carried out against this present sinful
world
at
the
Second
Coming
of
Jesus
Christ.
Let us now clearly further demonstrate that the words tohuw and bohuw used in Genesis 1:2 are
in fact describing Gods global judgement in the Pre-Adamic Age. We demonstrate this by
comparing Genesis 1:2 with Jeremiah 4:23 to appreciate that both of these verses speak about
Gods tohuw andbohuw global
judgements.
Genesis
1:2 (NIV)
Now
the
earth was (hayah, meaning
became) formless (tohuw),
and empty(bohuw), darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was
hovering
over
the
waters.
Jeremiah
4:23 (NIV)
I looked at the earth, and it was formless (tohuw), and empty (bohuw); and at the heavens, and
their light
was
gone.
Genesis 1:2 is a description of Gods global tohuw and bohuw judgement against sinful fallen
angels carried out at some point in the Pre-Adamic Age millions of years ago, as discussed
previously.
We know from the Bible that there was another global judgement when God flooded and
destroyed the whole of Noahs world, approximately 4300 years ago, because of the wickedness
of men who were deceived and inspired by Satan and his fallen angels. This global judgement of
God against Noahs world was not a tohuw and bohuw judgement. However, there will be yet
another global judgement referred to in Jeremiah 4:23 above, which will be
atohuw and bohuw judgement against this present sinful world of man, which remains deceived
and inspired by Satan and his fallen angels. This future global judgement will occur at the
Second
Coming
of
Jesus
Christ.
Jeremiah was inspired by God to write about future events that will come to pass in this present
age, during the final period of the Great Tribulation at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Jeremiah 4:5-28 is a prophecy about God's horrific tohuw and bohuw judgement against Israel
and the whole world. We advise our readers to refer to Jeremiah 4:5-28 in their Bibles to note the
following
points.
Verses 6 and 7 say that God will bring disaster and destruction from the north upon Israel.
Israel will become desolate, and its cities will be laidwaste. Verse 8 says that the fierce anger of
the Lord will not be turned back. Verse 12 says that God will speak judgement against the
people of Jerusalem. Verse 13 speaks about the return of Jesus Christ on the clouds. Verses 14
to 18 speak about people's wickedness. Verse 20 says that God will bring destruction upon
destruction.
We
now
come
to
the
key
verse
Jeremiah
4:23.
Jeremiah
4:23 (NIV)
I looked at the earth, and it was formless (tohuw), and empty (bohuw); and at the heavens, and
their light
was
gone.

Notice that Jeremiah saw the whole earth in a state of tohuw and bohuw, which means a chaotic,
wasted and empty state. Also, he saw that the heavens had no light, meaning that the earth was
plunged into total darkness. The state of the earth, which Jeremiah saw, resembles the
description of the earth as given in Genesis 1:2, except that there was no global flooding. This is
because God promised never to flood the earth again following Noah's flood. Let us now read
Jeremiah 4:24-28, in order to clearly understand what the future tohuw and bohuw judgement
will
involve.
Jeremiah
4:24-28
24 I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth. 25
I beheld, and indeed there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled. 26 I beheld,
and indeed the fruitful land wasa wilderness, And all its cities were broken down at the presence
of the LORD, by His fierce anger. 27 For thus says the LORD "The whole land shall be
desolate; Yet I will not make a full end. 28 For this shall the earth mourn, And the heavens
above be black, Because I have spoken. I have purposed and will not relent, Nor will I turn back
from
it".
Please bear in mind that in these verses Jeremiah is speaking about the future judgement against
this
present world, at
the return
of Jesus
Christ. Notice that this
future tohuw and bohuw judgement will not only involve the sun being darkened but also the
mountains will shake and the hills will be moved out of their place, and the earth will be reduced
to a
wilderness.
This tohuw and bohuw judgement against the whole earth at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ,
as prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah, is also described and prophesied by Apostle John in
Revelation 6:12-17, and by Jesus Christ Himself in Matthew 24:29-30. You will note that there
are close similarities between these three prophecies, which means that they are speaking of the
same
global tohuw and bohuw judgement.
By putting together the scriptures Jeremiah 4:24-28, Revelation 6:12-17 and Matthew 24:29-30,
we can clearly see that Gods future global tohuw andbohuw judgement at the end of this present
age will be absolutely cataclysmic, involving the powers of the heavens being shaken, the stars
(meteorites) falling onto earth, the sun and the moon being darkened, great earthquakes and
upheavals causing every mountain and every island to shake and move out of its place, great
global devastation of the earth's surface causing chaos and waste, massive destruction of all types
of life, and surviving unbelievers so terrified that they hide away from the face of the returning
Jesus
Christ
and
His
wrath.
Unlike the previous tohuw and bohuw judgement in the Pre-Adamic Age when all living plants
and animals were totally destroyed, God will not totally destroy not make a full end to all life
on earth in the future tohuw and bohuwjudgement. There will be a proportion of earths
population who will survive it to enter Christs Millennial Kingdom on earth, over whom Christ
and
His
resurrected
Bride
will
rule
and
reign.
As mentioned, it is significant that the Hebrew words tohuw and bohuw occur together in the

same verse only twice in the Bible, the first time in Genesis 1:2 and the second time in Jeremiah
4:23. We have highlighted and described in detail the future judgement against this present sinful
world of man referred to in Jeremiah 4:23, to further prove the point that Genesis 1:2 also
speaks about Gods global judgement. Genesis 1:2 is definitely not the description of a stage in
the construction of the earth, as mistakenly believed by Young Earth Creationism.
There should now be no doubt in the minds of our readers that Genesis 1:2is a description of the
state of the earth resulting from the horrific cataclysmic global judgement, which God carried out
in the Pre-Adamic Age, because of the sins of angels; and there is indeed an age-gap of many
millions of years between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This age-gap is the Pre-Adamic Age.
Please understand that the Pre-Adamic Age consisted of two long periods of time, which together
would have been millions of years. During the first long period of time, the earth was a beautiful
Garden of Eden as first created in the beginning when the angels rejoiced over it. During the
second long period of time, the earth was in a totally ruined state, after it had been destroyed in
Gods judgement of Satan and his angels, until it was renewed by God at the beginning of the
Adamic
Age.
We have shown from Scripture that the Pre-Adamic earth was destroyed because of the sins of
angels. However, God understood right from the beginning, before He created the universe and
the earth, that this would happen because God is all knowing and He knows the end from the
beginning. Although God destroyed the Pre-Adamic earth, it was always in His Plan to renew the
earth and start the Second Age, the Adamic Age. This was when God created man in own His
image, the pinnacle of God's creation. God created the first man, Adam, at the beginning of the
Second Age when God renewed the earth and its atmosphere in the six-day creation week.
Young Earth Creationists confuse the beginning of the Pre-Adamic Age, which happened many
millions of years ago with the beginning of the Adamic Age, which happened only
approximately
six-ten
thousand
years
ago.
Let

us

be

clear

in

our

minds

that:

Genesis 1:1 refers to the beginning of time, many millions of years ago, when God first created
the heavens and the earth. This also marked the beginning of the First Age, the Pre-Adamic Age,
in
God's
Plan
of
the
Ages.
Genesis 1:3-5 refers to the first 24-hour day in the beginning of the Adamic Age, the Second
Age, long after God had destroyed the Pre-Adamic world through His
global tohuw and bohuw judgement because of the sins of angels. The Adamic Age started about
six-ten
thousand
years
ago.
The

Beginning

of

the

Adamic

Age

As we have shown, the original beautiful Garden of Eden earth of Genesis 1:1 became the
ruined, chaotic, dark and flooded earth of Genesis 1:2 when Satan and his fallen angels were

cast back down to earth, following their rebellion at some point in the Pre-Adamic Age. In
Genesis 1:3-5, we find that God reintroduced the light of the sun to shine onto the earth's
surface
at
the
dawn
of
the
Second
Age,
the
Adamic
Age.
Genesis
1:3-5
3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light that it was
good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness
He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
It is clear and logically follows that when God said, Let there be light in verse 3 above, it was
the light of the sun, which God had previously withheld from reaching the earths surface when
it became shrouded in darkness in Gods global tohuw and bohuw judgement. We know for
certain that the sun had already been created in the beginning (Genesis 1:1), along with the rest
of the heavens, and this was many millions of years before God reintroduced the light (of the
sun)
as
described
in
the
verses
above.
Please understand that there could not have been the first 24 hour day of evening and
morning without the light of the sun, and it is impossible for the earth to hang and rotate by
itself in the universe without the gravitational pull of the sun. Since, Young Earth Creationism
(YEC) believes that it was not until the fourth day that God created the sun, it becomes a huge
problem for YEC to explain how there could have been the first 24 hours of day and night
without the sun. In order to get over this dilemma, YEC teaches that it was the light of the Holy
Spirit which shone on the earth for the first three 24 hour days of the six-day creation week. Of
course, anything is possible with God, but we find the YEC explanation not only unscriptural,
but also totally illogical. It further invites derision and unbelief in the Word of God from
educational
establishments
and
scientists.
The rest of the Genesis account of creation, Genesis 1:3-31, makes complete sense, once we
understand that God had darkened the sun and withdrawn its light from the earth in His PreAdamic tohuw and bohuwjudgement against Satan and his angels. When God began the Second
Age, the Adamic Age, He reintroduced the light of the sun to the earth, andrenewed the earth's
surface and its atmosphere. Then, God recreated plant and animal life, and finally He created
mankind for the very first time, as described in the six-day creation account of Genesis 1:3-31,
which
happened
approximately
six-ten
thousand
years
ago.
Gods

creation

in

the

first

six

24-hour

days

of

the

Adamic

Age

Let us clearly understand that there is absolutely no contradiction whatsoever between Genesis
1:1, where it is says that God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, and Genesis
1:14-19 where it says that God madethe sun, the moon and the stars on the fourth day. Once we
see and understand that the whole of the six-day creation account is written from mans earthly
perspective rather than from a cosmic perspective, then the scriptures become clear and
everything
make
sense.
Day

One (Genesis

1:3-5)

God reintroduces the light of the sun to reach and shine onto the surface of the deep frozen flood
waters that completely covered the ruined earth. The effect of this heat and sudden change in
temperature
resulted
in
a
massive
global
ice
melt.
The massive ice sheet covering the surface of the whole earth must have been so thick that the
Spirit of God first needed to shake, break and soften it in preparation for the melting process. We
believe that this is exactly what happened as Genesis 1:2 says that 'the Spirit of God was moving
(rachaph) over the face of the waters (ice)'. The Hebrew word rachaph translated to mean
moving in some versions of the Bible also means shaking, as confirmed by Strongs H7363.
Gods Spirit first actively shook, broke up and softened the deep ice sheet covering the whole
earth in preparation for the great ice melt that took place, once the intense sunlight with its heat
was
reintroduced
onto
the
earth's
surface
on
Day
One.
Day
Two (Genesis
1:6-8)
God forms the firmament by lifting the 'waters from the waters'. The firmament refers to the
space or expanse within the earths atmosphere between the earths surface and the cloud strata.
God formed the firmament using the process of evaporation, when the intense heat of the
sunlight caused vast volumes of water vapour to rise up from the surface of the melt-waters to
form
dense
dark
clouds
in
the
sky.
Day
Three (Genesis
1:9-13)
God forms the dry land by causing the melt-waters to recede from the flooded earth. He also
causes plant life on land to start germinating in this warm, humid, cloud-darkened, cocooned
environment.
Day
Four
Genesis
1:14-19
14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament (the space between the earths surface
and the clouds) of the heavens (the earths atmosphere) to divide the day from the night; and let
them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the
firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. 16 Then God made (asah)
two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made
the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18
and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God
saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
At the beginning of Day Four, God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven.
Therefore, we can certainly conclude that by the end of Day Three the firmament of the heaven
(the space between the earths surface and the clouds) had become darkened by the dense clouds
of water vapour formed on Day Two. These clouds would have blocked out light - sunlight,
moonlight and starlight - from reaching the firmament and thus the earth's surface. So, on Day
Four God thinned and dispersed these dense dark clouds so that the sunlight, moonlight and
starlight could shine through the firmament down onto the earths surface.
Therefore, from an earthly perspective, the sun, the moon and the stars weremade (asah) on Day
Four 'for signs and seasons, and for days and years' for the benefit of man, who was yet to be

created on Day Six. Notice that verse 17 above, does not say that God created (bara) these
lights on Day Four, but that He set these lights in the firmament, meaning that He made them
appear, be visible, in the firmament from mans earthly perspective. We know from the very first
verse of the Bible, Genesis 1:1, that these lights (planets, stars) had already been created (bara)
in
the
beginning,
and
not
on
Day
Four.

between Bara and Asah

and

The inspired Hebrew word for create in Genesis 1:1 is bara, when Godcreated the heavens and
the earth in the beginning. However, the inspired Hebrew word for make in Genesis 1:16
is asah, when God made the sun, the moon and the stars to be set in the firmament on Day
Four of
the
six-day
creation
week.
These two accounts are not contradictory as they refer to two different situations. The first
account of creation (bara) in Genesis 1:1 relates to the beginning of time, millions of years ago
at the start of the Pre-Adamic Age, when God instantaneously created the heavens and the earth
at His command. The second account in Genesis 1:16 of making (asah) the sun, the moon and
the stars relates to their appearance in the firmament (meaning the sky), from an earthly
perspective, on Day Four of the six-day creation week, approximately six-ten thousand years
ago
at
the
start
of
the
Adamic
Age.
The single most important 'proof text' used by Young Earth Creationists is Exodus 20:11. Let us
examine this verse in detail, and show that it is also misunderstood by Young Earth Creationists.
Exodus
20:11
For in six days the LORD made (asah) the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in
them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
The Bible is consistent. In this verse, we see that the inspired Hebrew wordasah, and not bara, is
used to refer to the making of the heavens and the earth in six days.
The Bible makes a clear distinction between the creation of the heavens and the earth in the
beginning, by using the Hebrew word bara, and the renewalof the heavens and the earth in six
days, by using the Hebrew word asah. These Hebrew words bara and asah are not used
interchangeably with respect to the heavens and the earth, despite what Young Earth Creationists

say.

We

shall

now

prove

this

point

by

using

relevant

scriptures.

There are five places in the Bible where bara denotes the instantaneous creation of the heavens
and the earth in the beginning, which are Genesis 1:1, Genesis 2:3-4, Psalm 148:5, Isaiah 42:5
and Isaiah 45:18. We have already looked at three of these references, Genesis 1:1, Psalm 148:5,
and Isaiah 45:18. Let us now consider the remaining two references Isaiah 42:5 and Genesis 2:34.
Isaiah 42:5 says, Thus says God the LORD, Who created (bara) the heavens and stretched them
out. This clearly refers to the instantaneous creation of the heavens (the universe) in the
beginning,
agreeing
with
Genesis
1:1.
We will now take a detailed look at Genesis 2:3-4, where the context clearly shows that bara is
specifically used to denote the instantaneous creation of the heavens and the earth in the
beginning.
Genesis
2:3-4 (KJV)
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his
work which God created (bara) and made (asah). 4 These are the generations of the
heavens and of the earth when they werecreated (bara), in the day that the LORD
God made (asah)
the
earth
and
the
heavens.
These two verses clearly demonstrate the distinction in the use of the inspired Hebrew
words bara and asah, and show that they are not interchangeable when relating to the heavens
and the earth. Please note, in verse 3 above, that God rested from all His work, which He
had created andmade. The Holy Spirit would not have used bara and asah in the same
sentence, one following the other, if they had both meant the same thing and were
interchangeable. It is clear that there is a distinction between these two words.
This distinction is reinforced in verse 4 above, when relating these two words to the heavens and
the earth. Please note that the generations of the heavens and the earth
include both their creation and their making(renewal). The fact that the word generations is
plural further confirms that God is speaking about two separate situations in the history of the
heavens and the earth. This verse demonstrates that the instantaneous creation(bara) of the
heavens and the earth in the beginning was followed, in a later generation, by
the making (asah) of the heavens and the earth in six days, which is referred to in this verse as
'the day'. This scripture agrees with both Genesis 1:1 and Exodus 20:11.
Let

us

now

make

further

comments

on

the

Hebrew

word asah.

The Hebrew word asah occurs 2633 times in the Old Testament. Out of these, asah is used
approximately twenty times to refer to the making of the heavens and the earth, when God
renewed them in the six-day creation week. We have already considered three of these twenty
occurrences
in
Genesis
1:16,
Exodus
20:11
and
Genesis
2:3-4.
We will consider one more example, Nehemiah 9:6, which is a key text used by Young Earth

Creationism to wrongly say that bara and asah are interchangeable, when the Bible speaks about
either the creation or the making of the heavens and the earth.
Nehemiah
9:6
You alone are the LORD; You have made (asah) heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their
host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all.
The
host
of
heaven
worships
You.
In this scripture, Nehemiah is praising God for what he sees from mans earthly perspective,
for the generation of the heavens and the earth that God made (asah) in six days when He
renewed the face of the earth, thus agreeing with Genesis 2:3-4, previously commented on.
Nehemiah 9:6 only refers to the making (asah) of the heavens and the earth in the six-day
creation week, but it has nothing to say about the creation(bara) of the heavens and the earth in
the beginning. So, Young Earth Creationists are wrong in saying that Nehemiah 9:6 proves that
the
Hebrew
words bara and asah are
interchangeable.
We have shown from Scripture that God makes a clear distinction between the Hebrew
words bara and asah when referring to the heavens and the earth. This is to uphold the truth of
the Pre-Adamic Age, and Gods globaltohuw and bohuw judgement against Satan and his fallen
angels.
It

was

very

good

In this chapter, we have already examined two of the three key proof texts, Romans 5:12 and
Exodus 20:11, used by Young Earth Creationists to prop up their unbiblical theory of a young
earth. Let us now examine their third key proof text, Genesis 1:31.
Genesis
1:31
Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and
the
morning
were
the
sixth
day.
Young Earth Creationism argues that God could not have pronounced that everything was very
good in the Garden of Eden if there had been evidence of death and destruction, in the form of
millions of animal fossils underneath the earth's surface, from a previous Pre-Adamic world.
This is an erroneous argument, which is easily refuted by considering Jeremiah 31:40.
Jeremiah
31:40
And the whole valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the Brook
Kidron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD. It shall not
be
plucked
up
or
thrown
down
anymore
forever.
Jeremiah Chapter 31 is a prophecy about the coming Millennial Kingdom of God to earth
following Gods future global judgement against this sinful world at the Second Coming of Jesus
Christ. This judgement will cause massive worldwide death and destruction, and in Israel there

will be huge numbers of dead bodies, including those of the armies of Gog and Magog who will
fight in the final great battle of Armageddon. Please note in Jeremiah 31:40 above that the whole
valley and all of the fields of dead bodies in and around Jerusalem will be holy to the Lord.
Obviously,
holy
means
that
it
is very
good in
the
Lord's
eyes.
Would Young Earth Creationists argue with God that He does not have the right to make the
valley and fields of dead bodies holy? In fact, God will turn all of the desolate, wasted and
ruined places, including the valley and fields of dead bodies, into a very good Garden of
Eden during
His
Millennial
Kingdom.
Ezekiel
36:35
So they will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the
wasted,
desolate,
and
ruined
cities
are
now
fortified
and
inhabited.'
As we have seen, Young Earth Creationists have no proof texts to support their false theory of a
young earth. They have misunderstood and misinterpreted all three of their so-called proof texts,
Romans 5:12, Exodus 20:11 and Genesis 1:31, to uphold their unbiblical belief in a young earth
of
approximately
six
thousand
years.
Let us now go on to see that earth's geology abundantly supports Gods Pre-Adamic
global tohuw and bohuw judgement,
which
Young
Earth
Creationism
rejects.
Earth's geology overwhelmingly supports God's global judgement against Lucifers World
The Bible speaks of two global judgements in the history of the earth, which resulted in
catastrophic mass extinctions of life on earth, first in Lucifer's World during the Pre-Adamic
Age,
and
then
in
Noah's
World
during
the
Adamic
Age.
There is overwhelming support for God's global tohuw and bohuw judgement against Lucifer's
world in the Pre-Adamic Age. Scientists have long been puzzled about how the continents
moved apart to their present day positions. We believe that Gods tohuw and bohuw judgement in
the Pre-Adamic Age was so massively cataclysmic that the earths crust broke up into plates and
caused the large-scale movement of these tectonic plates resulting in the continents moving
apart, as well as causing earthquakes, volcanoes, oceanic trenches, mountain range formation,
and
many
other
geological
features.
There were such upheavals that even the seabeds were raised to form sedimentary mountains like
the Himalayas. We believe that other impressive geological features such as the huge and deep
Grand Canyon were birthed at this time. In addition, earth's strata folded trapping the dense PreAdamic forests resulting in vast deposits and reservoirs of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas.
Earth's rocks contain millions of fossils of sea and land animals. These include some amazingly
huge animal fossils, like woolly mammoths and dinosaurs, which must have roamed the PreAdamic
world
in
the
Pre-Adamic
atmosphere.
Many scientists believe that these animals suffered a sudden and abrupt extinction, many

millions of years ago. It is highly significant that no human fossils have been found alongside
dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and other ancient animal fossils. This does not surprise us, as God
did
not
create
man
in
the
Pre-Adamic
Age.
It is clear from Genesis 1:2 that God's global judgement against Lucifer's world resulted in a
global Ice Age, which is supported by earth's geology. Snowball Earth is a scientific hypothesis
that the earth's surface became entirely frozen over at least once in its history. It is worth noting
that the geological community generally accepts this hypothesis because it best explains glacial
geological
features
surprisingly
found
in
the
tropics.
During the 1970's, in the Namibian desert, geologist Joseph Kirschvink found sedimentary
deposits containing drop stones, which are of glacial origin. This scientific evidence, showing
that even the tropics were once completely under water and frozen, supports the biblical account
of Gods judgement against Lucifers world resulting in a global Ice Age.
Although Noahs world suffered Gods judgement of a global flood, very little geological
evidence of it survives today. This is because Noah's world did not suffer a
global tohuw and bohuw judgement, as experienced by Lucifers world. In Gods judgement of
Noahs world, the powers of the heavens were not shaken, and there were no cataclysmic
upheavals of the earth's surface such that mountains were formed. Also, there was no withdrawal
or darkening of the sun to cause global freezing of the flood waters.
In order for fossils to form, living organisms need to be buried quickly between two layers of
rocks and/or quickly frozen before the natural process of decay can take place. Geologists have
failed to discover fossils in any vast number, which they consider to be only a few thousand
years old. The fact that no human fossils have been found in any number anywhere on earth
proves that Noah's world did not suffer a global tohuw and bohuw judgement.
It is therefore clear that it was not Gods judgement against Noah's world, but Gods judgement
against Lucifer's world in the Pre-Adamic Age that caused massive cataclysmic upheavals of the
earth's surface greatly impacting earth's geology to bear witness for us all to see today.
Young Earth Creationism uses Noah's Flood as a catchall solution to explain earth's geology. In
order to fit with Noah's Flood, Young Earth Creationism must massage, manipulate and assume
scientific data to explain away many of earth's geological features such as the massive
sedimentary mountain ranges, fossil fuels, dinosaurs, the Ice Age and millions of animal fossils
like woolly mammoths found in ice. Also, it has no valid explanation for the lack of human
fossils
in
the
geological
record.
High hills and mountains already existed before Noah's Flood, as the Bible clearly tells us. Noah
must have used tons of pitch to cover and seal the incredibly huge Ark and, as pitch is derived
from coal and oil, this proves that fossil fuels preceded Noah's Flood. Young Earth Creationists
try to explain the Ice Age unconvincingly as a post Noah's Flood event, yet the Bible clearly
speaks
about
an
Ice
Age
in
the
second
verse
of
the
Bible.
Apostle Peter speaks about both global floods, Lucifers flood and Noahs flood.

2
Peter
2:5
and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of
righteousness,
bringing
in
the
flood
on
the
world
of
the
ungodly.
This scripture clearly refers to Noahs flood. Now, let us carefully examine the second scripture
spoken by Apostle Peter about the other past judgement of God, which also resulted in global
flooding.
2
Peter
3:5-6
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth
standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which theworld that then existed perished, being
flooded
with
water.
Please note that this scripture says the world that then existed perished. This scripture refers to
Lucifers flood in the Pre-Adamic Age, and not to Noahs flood in the Adamic Age.
The main difference between Gods judgements of Lucifers world and Noahs world is that
Lucifers world was completely destroyed. All life on earth in Lucifers world totally perished.
This was not the case resulting from Gods judgement of Noahs world. God did not completely
destroy all of Noahs world. All life on earth did not totally perish, as in the case of Lucifers
world. Of course, in both of these judgements of God, Satan and his fallen angels could not
perish
because
God
created
them
as
immortal
spirit
beings.
Finally, let us now consider some relevant scientific theories, which complete our study of the
Pre-Adamic
Age.
The

K-T

extinction

event

Many scientists now believe in a theory proposed in 1980 by the physicist Luis Alvarez and his
son Walter Alvarez, a geologist. Their theory says that a mass extinction of plant and animal
species occurred as a result of a huge asteroid impacting the earth's surface at the end of the
Cretaceous period, sixty-five million years ago. This is known as the K-T extinction event. The
following quote summaries the general scientific belief about this K-T extinction event.
'In the Alvarezes' scenario, an asteroid 10 kilometers in diameter struck the earth at high
velocity, forming a crater 150 kilometers wide. In addition to the immediate devastation of tidal
waves, global fires, and giant storms, impact debris hurled into the atmosphere at high altitude
spread around the Earth, preventing sunlight from reaching the ground. With photosynthesis
blocked, herbivorous and carnivorous species died as the food chain was snapped at its base.'
It is interesting, yet not surprising, that this scientific theory supports the Bible's account of God's
global tohuw and bohuw judgement in the Pre-Adamic World. We know from Scripture that
God's global tohuw and bohuwjudgement involves the powers of the heavens being shaken, stars
(asteroids) falling on earth and sunlight being withheld or blocked from reaching the earths

surface. Do you know that the Bible is amazingly clear that the earth will be struck by an
asteroid once again in the future tohuw andbohuw judgement, at the Second Coming of Jesus
Christ?
Revelation
9:1-2
1 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star (asteroid) fallen from heaven to the earth. To
him (the angel) was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and
smoke arose out of the pit likethe smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were
darkened
because
of
the
smoke
of
the
pit.
Uniformitarianism
Scientists worldwide are increasingly beginning to realise that they must include catastrophic
events in their philosophy of uniformitarianism. This is a scientific theory, which says that
geological processes operating at present are the same processes that operated in the past, and
that there have been no catastrophic events in earth's history. Uniformitarianism is commonly
described as 'the present is the key to the past'. Scientists are now beginning to accept that
geological evidence shows that catastrophic events occurred in earth's history and 'the present is
not
always
the
key
to
the
past'.
Obviously, uniformitarianism has played a part in the shaping of earth's geology, as the earth is
millions of years old. However, it is clear that earth's geology has also been greatly impacted by
God's global cataclysmic tohuwand bohuw judgement of Genesis 1:2. We believe that Christians
who are knowledgeable geological scientists, and who understand and accept the truth of the PreAdamic world, which lasted many millions of years, are in the best position to correctly
understand
earth's
geology.
The

Big

Bang

theory

The Big Bang theory, which teaches that the universe began with an explosion of a primeval
atom, is unbiblical and nonsensical. How can the vast universe, with billions of galaxies and stars
and our beautiful planet earth with its amazingly complex and intricate design and life, come
from an explosion of one tiny atom? Where would this primeval atom have originated in the first
place? The truth of the Bible that God created the universe, with the earth, instantaneously in the
beginning, many millions of years ago (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 148:2-5) and then stretched out
(expanded) the universe (Isaiah 45:12), makes a lot more sense than the Big Bang theory.
The

theory

of

Evolution

God is the Creator of all things. He commands and things happen. There is not a hint anywhere
in the Bible that God used evolution to create life. As we reject Young Earth Creationism, we
also
reject
the
theory
of
Evolution.

Conclusion
We appreciate that Young Earth Creationists are passionate in their beliefs that the Bible is the
infallible Word of God, God is the Creator and Evolution is a false theory. However, the sad
irony is that YEC itself, with its false interpretation of the creation account in Genesis and belief
in a young earth, supplies evolutionists and atheists with all the ammunition they need to ridicule
the
Bible
as
contradictory,
illogical
and
scientifically
nonsensical.
Young Earth Creationism has yet to discover the biblically correct 'Answers in Genesis', answers
that are not only very logical, but also, scientifically and geologically defensible, answers that
not only protect, but also, enhance the credibility of the Bible as the true Word of God.
The correct biblical understanding of the Genesis account of creation and acknowledgement of
the Pre-Adamic World is the best and the only way to fight the false theories of The Big Bang
and Evolution taught in our schools and universities today.
