Dr. Don R. Campbell

Renamed the GAMAC Chorale in 1990, the


ensemble began in 1970 as the Anderson
Civic Chorale and is comprised of 80+
volunteer vocalists. The Chorale performs
three times annually with a professional
orchestra. The ensemble has performed
much of the great choral literature
including Beethovens 9th Symphony,
Poulencs Gloria, Brahms Requiem, Carl
Orffs Carmina Burana, and many more.

Founded in 1975, the Anderson Symphony


Orchestra is a civic orchestra comprised
of community volunteer instrumentalists,
college students from Anderson University
and talented high school students.

Founded in 1982 and performing in the


tradition of Americas big bands, the
Electric City Big Band (ECBB) performs
popular, current and nostalgic selections
of music with wide appeal. This group is
available for special event bookings. Please
contact the GAMAC office for information.

Formed in 2013, the GAMAC Childrens


Chorus is comprised of boys and girls in
grades 3-8+. The mission of the chorus is to
teach children to achieve high artistic and
personal standards through choral music
singing and performance. In addition to
professional instruction in vocal technique
and music literacy, the ensemble fosters
friendship, confidence, self-discipline and
character.
