Feedback re: CC weekend

Marie said thank you to everybody!
What went well: Green Geckos, dogs, storm troopers, fell face, school fair, minizoo, mobile
cave, story-telling, good that there were things for young children in the church in an
enclosed and safe environment; the fly-past was popular; the rocket making and launching;
What didnt work so well: Sunday stalls were disappointed with the turnout. Brendan said
there was a general feeling that there was not so much footfall but lots of other things were
on locally at the same time. Footfall also low in the model railway show again other shows
were on at the same time.
General to what extent is it developing? Its not what it was originally for i.e. its not really
Celebrating Cromford people but actually much of it is.
Other comments: No Morris men. Should have had zoo both days. Re-start the pudding
competition; move open gardens back to the same weekend. Make a big thing of food;
maybe have it on a half-term weekend?
Ideas for next year childrens fancy dress?
Need to do something about the market stalls or they will die a death.
Some people complained about the noise.

Treasurers Report
Lost about 950 on the weekend, but then we didnt have open gardens which usually
contributes. Spent 1400 on entertainment incl zoo, music etc. The programme made 760.
In the bank currently 4100 but weve bought the marquee for 1500 and still with money to
come in from open gardens and some other stuff.
John Pass reported on the 200 Club.

Open Gardens
We have 20 gardens this year (one more than last year). Will organise all the bird-signs in
the next few days. The programme is clear so we dont need to sign so much as last year.
Starting at Podge then Scarthin, then up the Hill, then Alison House, Jasmin Cottage and
Willersley Castle.
Payment at our stall on the market place, plus at three other gardens. We will be advertising
other events apple day, produce show etc here too.

Biddys is hosting tea/coffee with a Moroccan theme at 14 The Hill from 11.00 am.
Need the Gazebo. (Nigel needs to leave the key!).
It all seems to be in hand
