Vital Signs

Normal vital sign ranges are provided for infants, children, and adults. For heart rate in beats per minute, normal ranges are provided by age from newborn to ages 15 and up. For respiratory rate in cycles per minute, normal ranges are provided by age from 0-2 months to ages over 5 years. For blood pressure in mmHg, normal and classification ranges are provided for systolic and diastolic blood pressure for children by age and adults. Normal body temperature is also noted to be 36.5-37.5°C.
