The Faculty Association is recognized by the University under the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) as the sole
representative of all regular faculty members with regard to terms and conditions of employment. Under the MoA
all regular faculty members have monthly deductions for the Faculty Association; however, membership in the
Association remains voluntary. We urge all faculty members to join the Association and have a voice in how it is
run. There is no change in your deductions when you opt to become a member.
Regular faculty members are also represented by the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations
(OCUFA) and the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT), and are eligible for the benefits and services
offered by these organizations. A portion of your deductions is sent to these organizations each month.
