Romania Work

Romania was a fast

and furious adventure.
The first week we
stayed in a large flat
that overlooked the
city. We did intensives
for 6-couples with the
help of Bret and Elizabeth Hern and Thomas
and Cheri Henry. The
couples are with CRU
and they loved the material. They are eager
to take it to the nationals there. It was the
first time we have
worked with that many
couples at once, but it
worked well.
The 2nd week we
worked with two Romanian couples at a
hotel. One of the couples are pastors and
the other are Missionaries. We welcomed
the assistance of
Thomas and Cheri.

Testimony From Turkey!

"We first heard of Mark and
Pat's ministry, "Haven of
Hope," a few years back. Some
friends of ours who seemed to
have a good marriage went
down to see them while in
Bodrum. Since then, all our
team-mates have gone down to
the "Marriage Intensive" and
have spoken of their time, and
of Mark and Pat, very highly.
We had the opportunity to attend a few weeks ago and can't
adequately express how blessed
a time it was to us. Mark and
Pat are genuine, caring and
committed to help. To see them
and to see their marriage in
light of their past history (loss
of Matthew) is profoundly hope
-giving. The content of the
teaching is equally blessed:
rich and very practical.

As workers in this country,

we can't tell you how crucial
a ministry like "Haven of
Hope" is! We all come committed to serving others in
Jesus' Name but the truth of
the matter is that we are often more committed to serving others than we are to
ministering God's grace to
our own spouse first, which
is a poor start to any ministry (mixed-up motivations,
mixed-up priorities) but a
common one. "Haven of
Hope" helps turn things the
right side up. The Lord used
Mark and Pat and these few
days with them to help deepen and cement this shift in
our own relationship for
which we are deeply, deeply
thankful."

We are amazed and

humbled with what the
Lord is doing with Haven of Hope. He is
opening up doors that
we never dreamed
about, and all we have
to do is say yes. More
