IT 325 GRAPHICS AND ANIMATION


Information Graphics (Infographics)
- Visual representation usually in graphical forms of statistical information
or data. Its goal is to present the information or data in a clear manner
using graphics such as icons, charts, shapes and other images related to
the statistical data.
Objectives:
- To be able to research relevant and current statistical data
- To be able to make an information graphic Infographics out of the
statistical data using Adobe Photoshop.
Instructions:
1. Research one (1) relevant and current statistical data. You can ask from a
reliable source such as companies, government agencies, schools etc. Or
research in the Internet about current statistical data (show source).
Examples:
- Number of students enrolled in DVC.
- Statistical data about the current surveys of the presidential bids.
- Crime rates in different regions.
- Population growth of the different countries in the world.
- Rate of cancer related sickness/deaths in a certain area.
2. Using Adobe Photoshop, convert the chosen statistical data into an
Infographic.
- Make it as creative yet as clear as possible. You can look at some samples
in the Internet.
- Image size: short bondpaper or bigger.
- Save it as JPG or PNG. Deductions will be applied for those not save in the
mentioned formats.

Deadline:
- Before 12 midnight this Sunday (03-20-16). Deductions will be applied for
late submissions.
