FMG) has sent verification requests for your documents by regular mail. They ar
e currently awaiting the responses from your institution.
You may view the progress of your document by following the steps below:

Log into physiciansapply.ca

Click on Documents in the left panel
Click on the credential you wish to view in the centre panel
Click View History at the top of the right panel
View status history

We strongly suggest that you follow up with the Principal, Higher Education depa
rtment, University of Tripoli Faculty of Medicine to encourage a response. Ple
ase note the address and contact information for source verification is provided
to the ECFMG by the institution directly. For security purposes, the institutio
n must contact the ECFMG directly with any changes to the information.
To review the information that the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Gr
aduates (ECFMG) has on file for your institution, please see our latest news pos
t; IMED is now redirecting candidates to the World Directory of Medical Schools
(WDMS).
When sending a verification package to your issuing institution, the ECFMG provi
des the institution with:

A copy of your medical credential.

A verification form to be completed and signed by the institution
An ECFMG pre-addressed, pre-paid envelope

Please note that all included materials must be completed and returned to the EC
FMG for processing.
Once the completed verification form is returned and received by the ECFMG, plea
se allow up to 20 business days for processing. When the verification is complet
ed, the ECFMG will update your physiciansapply.ca account electronically. You wi
ll also receive a message in your physiciansapply.ca account when your credentia
l has successfully completed the source verification process.
Confirmation by the issuing institution usually takes up to 100 days and sometim
es longer. The length of time for confirmation can vary due to the amount of tim
e some issuing institutions take to respond to the source verification request.
