No. :
You do not need to specify the master board in the two boards
working in the 1+1 backup mode. When the system starts up, the
master is determined through the contention mechanism. Usually
the board that is started first is the master and the other one the
slave.

Fast tracking: Indicates that the CLK board is tracking reference source clock
fast and is an instantaneous status usually when the system just connects the

Locked: Indicates that the CLK board has locked primary reference source and
outputs clock signals aligned with reference source.
Holdover: Indicates that the CLK board outputs clock signals based on the
locked status when reference source is missing.

For a specified VMGW, you need to configure its home MGC, namely MSC

You can configure a VMGW with 3 MGC at most, one of which must be, and
only one is
is, the master MGC
MGC. At any time
time, the VMGW can only be under the
control of one MGC. The VMGW will switch to the control of the slave MGC only
when the master MGC fails or communication between VMGW and the master
MGC is abnormal.

After you add an H.248 signaling link successfully for the first time and activate
the VMGW by the command ACT VMGW, the VMGW will send a registration
request to the MSC Server.
After successful registration, you can use the command DSP VMGW to query

whether configuration of media gateway control data is successful by querying
VMGW state.

Usually the entity type is set to SG for the UMG8900 and AS for
MGC.

Network Mode is valid only when the destination entity type is AS.
It specifies whether the peer AS engrosses or shares a signaling
point code with others
others.

An M3UA link set describes the static features of all the M3UA
links from the local entity to an M3UA adjacent destination entity.
Page36
M3UA route is the path from the local entity to the destination
entity is called.
59
Page37
The link set up between the SGP and the ASP through SCTP is
called M3UA link.
Each end of an M3UA link can be either the SGP or the ASP
