Paragraph 3
1. sedentary life style. Most people cannot fulfill an hour exercise per day.
2. Gadgets.
3. Household tools.
Cutting-edge technology makes humans life easier. It is believed that human
dependency to this equipment leads them to basic ability degradation, as these tools
help people in every life sectors. Therefore, I would claim that modern technology
makes people failed to learn and master everyday skills.
It is argued that recent people tend to count on technology in every occasion, and this
results in lack of independency. A 2010 study in Harvard University unveiled that
90% of cab drivers in London who frequently use GPS (Global Positioning System)
for direction are not able to read a conventional map. However, they admit that this
tracking system does not fully support them, since it still has misled in providing
direction.
Invention in vehicles such as cars traps people into a sedentary lifestyle. For example,
most teenagers rely on driving cars even in short distances. As a result, this sitting
habit causes them to spend less than an hour per day in physical activity. Likewise,
people are addicted to gadgets, as this lessens their communication skills. They are
more likely to stick with their smartphones than having a conversation with others in
surrounding. When household machine was invented, housewives are bound to use
this. This turns motherhouses to lose their advance skills in doing household tasks
without help from machines. It is clear to see that people are no longer able to
complete some tasks, as they become so reliant on modern technology.
The aforementioned evidence reveals that high-tech tools affect human in
accomplishing their work, since they lose basic skills. It is imperative that people
should be a smart user to avoid further technological-reliant consequences.
