The School of Languages and Cultures invites you to

Languages at Sydney: Go Global

Come and participate in an exciting event at the University of Sydney on 2 March 2017.
The Languages at Sydney: Go Global event will introduce students to the languages offered by the School of
Languages and Cultures (SLC) at the University of Sydney. It will give students an opportunity to participate in
language tutorials, with a view to better understanding the differences between languages study at school and at
university.
This event suits students of all levels, from those have no language experience at all to those who are currently
studying a language and planning to continue at university level. Year 12 language teachers and careers
counsellors are also welcome.
Whilst Year 12 students will be prioritised, there may also be room for interested Year 11 students to participate.
We will have them on a waiting list and inform your school as soon as we know there are spaces available.
To help us organise rooms and catering, we ask that schools indicate the number of students attending by October
21, 2016. Please see below for more details and a link to register for the event. Your students registration will be
confirmed at the end of October/early November, 2016. Please don't hesitate to contact us should you have
questions in the meantime. We look forward to welcoming your students on campus.
Sincerely,
Professor Yixu Lu
Head of School
