Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to move words
depicting professions and items and learn about goods and services.
Pedagogy

Activity
1. The students will take turns and first (either in small
groups or pairs), select the hat button on the SMART
board to receive a word. (ex. Dentist)
2. The student then must find that specific word in the list
of word cannon balls.
3. After finding the word, the student will move it, by
using their finger, to the correct pirate ship labeled as
goods and services.
4. If the answer is correct, the cannon ball is shot to the
other boat. (ex. The Dentist cannonball, after being
sorted to the services pirate ship, will shoot at the
goods ship.)
5. The teacher should be making sure the students are
engaged and ask questions:
a. “How do you know that’s a good/service?”
b. “Where would you see that?”
c. “Can anyone remind me what is a
good/service?” (use this if a student is having a
difficult time)
6. Since this activity requires a lot of reading, the teacher
should assist in reading, and if necessary, provide
pictures.
