imam tahavi(orthodox)--shafi scholar moved towards hanafee

imam mathuriti(liberal)- inspired from imam abu haneefa
knowledge, belief, confess(action) (three stages of iman according to imam abu h
aneefa)
kharjiites--action is important belief not
murjiite- no action belief is good enough
muatizilites say belief and action alone is not enough.
imam tahavi says that knowledge is not imp belief and action is
imam mathuriti says only belief is important. confession isn't necessary. knowle
dge already exists. there is some basic knowledge
you cannot determine belief in terms of confession. confession is jsut an expres
sion of belief.
actions are determinant on belief imam ahmad bin..
faithful needs practice and infidel needs faith.
conclusions:
faith is not liabel to increase or decrease. imam abu haneefa. its the convictio
n of heart.
faith is impaired by doubt.
faith remains same but it is the actions that makes us superior in the eyes of G
OD. The lacking is what make us equal.taqwa will lead you to practice
no muslim should be declared devoid of faith on account of any sin, if he declar
es is to be unlawful-imam abu haneefa.

-during war
-extreme rape
-someone killed the other
