The Sound of Reveille
As a Soldier, I saluted the United States Flag ever morning for 30 years. The cannon
would explode with a big boom! Then the bugler played Reveille. The sound of the bugle was
patriotic. I dedicated my life to protecting the American people from foreign and domestic
enemies. I fulfilled my final contract in 2013 which was one bittersweet moment for me. The
Commanding General presented me with a United States Flag and a Medal. When I hear Reveille
playing, it reminds me of who I am and what I was.
