Safety &Health Committee Guideline

Leadership Objectives:
To demonstrate top leadership commitment to health and safety.
To assure appropriate priorities are set and communicated for employee
health and safety:
Prevention of injuries.
Change culture of all our employees.
Promote employee enthusiasm.
Responsibility:
Establish and maintain a Health & Safety Review Board.
Overall health and safety of employees.
Key Elements:
A Safety & Health Committee member, chaired by the key leadership, for
each facility.
Representation by tenant organizations and facility manager.
Technical resources, which may include safety professionals and health
professionals (medical, wellness, etc).
Communication, Incident Investigation, and plant Observation Tours.
Method:
Meet at least quarterly and post minutes.
Assure all health and safety problems are addressed.
Encourage participation through the formation of AD-HOC Committees, such
as: Safe Driving, Emergency Evacuation, Slip and Fall, Off-the-Job Safety,
On-the-Job Safety, Health and Diet, and Exercise.
Establish a process to review Incident Investigations, Safety Observation Tour
results, and communicate findings, as necessary.
