Kindergarten Korner
Another FANTASTIC
week in Kindergarten!
We did so many fun
things this week. The
children loved our
story Plaidypus Lost.
We were able to
learn about
sequencing and retell
the story by the end
of the week.
We explored new
math stations as well
that we will continue
throughout next
week. We continued
to practice our
shapes and colors.
The Kindergarten
students also loved
learning about their
place in the world.
We explored maps
and learned about
where we live!

Text-Based
Comprehension
This week we will be
reading Miss
Bindergarten Takes a
Field Trip with
Kindergarten. The
students will also be
reviewing characters

and setting as well as


learning about
categorizing.

Amazing Words
Every week we will be
introducing Amazing
Words. These words are
meant to help build your
childs vocabulary.

High Frequency Words


(Sight Words)
This week the students will
continue the and little.
We have spent a lot of
time practicing color
words such as: blue,
black, brown, green,
yellow, orange and pink.
We learned songs for
each color and put them
in our poetry binder!

Writing
We will continue working
in our writing journal. The
students have been
doing great focusing on
one writing topic by
coloring a picture,
sounding out words or
telling a friend. I will
continue sending

Worked with my
teacher on number
recognition!

Social Science
This week, we will be
creating FeltBoard stories
on our iPads for each of
the four seasons!
