Call for Papers: International Conference on Drug Discovery &

Development (ICDDD 2017)

The International Institute of Knowledge Management of Sri Lanka warmly welcomes you to
the International Conference on Drug Discovery & Development (ICDDD 2017) which will
be held on 9th & 10th March, 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Drug Conference will be held for the first time under the theme of The Role of Natural
Products in Modern Drug Discovery and Development & It will create an ideal opportunity
for participants from various fields of specialization to hear from more than 100 speakers
from nearly 15 different countries in the subject of Drug Discovery and Development
imparting and gathering knowledge forming it a global knowledge sharing hub.
The followings tracks will be covered by the conference. (But are not limited to)
1. The importance of maintaining biodiversity to preserve a pool of novel molecules as
potential drug leads.
2. Novel products from natural sources, including those from marine organisms.
3. Advances in technologies used to extract and characterize novel molecules from plants,
animals and microorganisms.
4. Advances in synthetic technologies to produce analogues of active natural products.
5. Screening procedures for evaluation of biological activity of novel natural products.
6. Use of natural products as agrochemicals.
7. Herbal remedies.
8. Community pharmacists and Natural Products in Drug Discovery.

We invite all the academic researchers, clinicians and professionals in the pharmaceutical
industry to enhance their knowledge in the role of natural products in modern drug discovery
and development from drug discovery conference 2017 and share their knowledge in the field
with colleagues.
