3rd Grade Curriculum Night
Thursday, October 6th at 5:45 the 3rd grade teachers
will host curriculum night in the library. Please come out
and join us and learn all about what we are doing in 3rd
grade. We look forward to seeing you all there. Prizes
for students who have parents attend curriculum night.

During the month of September 3rd grade is


collecting your coins or any money for the
Rally Foundation Research Center.

Bingo Night Fall Activities

Come join us Friday, October 14th for Bingo and fun, Fall
activities. The fun will be from 5:30 8:00. There will
be bingo, pumpkin painting, face painting, and so much
more! Contact PTO if you are available to help that
night!

Math- Division: Ways to divide, division games
Reading- Explain how the actions of a
character contributes to the sequence of
events, -compare and contrast stories written
by the same author about the same characters
Writing- Use dialogue and descriptions of actions,
thoughts, and feelings to show characters
responses in a narrative story
Grammar: Produce simple, compound, and complex
sentences, identify and use vivid verbs
Science: What is temperature? How is it
measured?
Social Studies: Greece: Compare and contrast
a direct democracy with a representative
democracy

Spelling Homework Begins this week! Spelling tests will
be given each Friday. The words for this week are: thumb,
trunk, stuck, new, knew, blew, chew, blue, glue, true, around,
came, here, many, very
RAH Log (Read at Home) - Complete RAH log each night
Monday through Thursday, recommendation is 15-20
minutes. Record the books read on RAH Log in T.E.A.M.
Binder.
MAH (Math at Home) - Initial agenda, complete math facts
practice each night Monday through Thursday,
recommendation is 5-10 minutes math facts practice.
