4. What is its scope?


The project will result in the long-term protection of the Tambopata National Reserve and
Bahuaja-Sonene National Park, its wildlife and the people living within and around the
Reserve and Park, with the aim of Keep existing forests standing whilst giving farmers,
communities and stakeholders a way to keep their environment intact.
5. What is its time restriction?
The total investment in the project will be spread over 7 years
6. What is its cost restriction?
The total investment in the project in Madre de Dios is US$12 million and includes
Anthelias investment of US$7 million secured by verified carbon units resulting from
avoided deforestation.
7. Are there any project risks that can be identified?
A risk that is presented in the project areas is under constant threat from deforestation
and degradation of forests from slash and burn shifting cultivation and illegal gold mining.
