Learning Insights (Surigao Del Sur Eco Tour)

This paper is all about what happen and what we experience in our 3 days
and 2 nights in Surigao Eco tour.
In our first day, we arrive at the La Entrada resort 5:30 am the morning,
earlier than we expected. So we have wait for our breakfast time 7 am, and
take our 1st breakfast at the resort, they served us beef tapa and scramble
egg and black coffee. After taking our breakfast we check our respective
room, rest a little and changed clothes and attend a quick orientation about
the place after that we head to the famous Enchanted river, it was my first
time going to the enchanted river so I had a lot of expectations. We were so
excited. Finally, after 2 hours drive and 200 meters walk we arrived at the
enchanted river, I expected a lot more that what we got, what we see. I was
little disappointed, it was not the green blue color that I see in the pictures
and it was really crowded a lot we don't have the space to swim. But sir Pao,
invited us for a island hopping, and it was cheap it's only 150 per hour for 5
person, each 30 pesos. The 1st stop of the island hopping is the bar island,
but it was high tide when got there so we didn't really see what is bar island
is, the entrance in the bar island is 10 pesos, in that, we experience feeding
the string rays and other fish in the pond. We were so amazed how friendly
the string rays are. After that, we head to our next stop, I forgot what it's
called, but then our boat time is over so we head back to the enchanted
river, it was raining that time. When we got back, the lake looks white
brownish yellow due to the rain and the people are gone and now I
appreciate the beauty of the river, we swam for like 10 mins, change clothes
then head to the hotel again. At the hotel we take a bath once more and took
a rest. And in the evening we had our breakfast go back to our for rest and

then go out to chill with our classmates we had a little drinks, chit chat,
stargazing and head to our room and we slept. Tomorrow is another fun day.

September 25, 2016 our second day in the place, Island hopping day!
Alameda farm!
Our wake up call is 5:30 in the morning, but me and my friends slept a little
more we woke up at 6:30 and get ready for 30 mins and put sunblock and
take our breakfast fast cause we were the last group who came out. After the
quick breakfast we directly head to the view deck were the boats are there,
we took a lot of pictures before going for the island hopping. Our first stop
Hiyor-hiyoran island a nice wide open beach line, blue sea with a lot of palm
trees and shell in the sand, we just took pictures here, we didn't swim here
since it has a lot of seaweeds and corals. Boslon island was next tourists
would stop here for lunch. There are stalls selling refreshments, food and
souvenirs. There are also tables and chairs shaded by some trees and rocks.
Its also a great spot for swimming but definitely more crowded compared to
the first island, we enjoy riding the banana boat but we ride rode the banana
boat with sir pao, we didn't fell that's why we are not so satisfied.
Our next is Naked Island just beside Hagonoy. The island is wide sand a white
sand bar with some rocks. Swimming here is also possible with its clear blue
waters. You may swim on both sides of the island. Its quite small and local
tourists would only stop here to take photos. Jahnin did her photoshoot, we
spend the time photo shooting Jahnin just to take a good picture of her, us
supportive friend didn't mind we lost the time for swim here. And last but not
the least is Hagonoy Island a long stretch of island with a handful of coconut
and talisay trees. Swimming here is ideal. The sand is fine and white and the
waters are crystal clear. If you want to take a rest, you may take a breather
at the shade provided by the cluster of trees on one side of the island. You

may also eat here if you want as there are tables and chairs for you to use.
Hagonoy is now one my favorite island we really had fun here, we spend
time taking pictures here, and we didn't mind the of the heat of the sun just
to take a good pictures with sir pao. Half-day is enough to visit and enjoy all
four islands. Remember, that you can control your time on these islands.
Hiyo-hiyoran- Boslon- Naked Island - Hagonoy is the usual route of the tour.
After the enjoy and fun Island hopping we now go back to La entarada, our
lunch is waiting at the view deck. The lunch meal was good, they served us
escabeche, guso, buttered shrimp, fried chicken and rice. After the bountiful
lunch we head back our room took a shower changed clothes. 2 pm in the
afternoon we went to Alameda farm, you see can a wide nice view at the top
of the farm, it is a nice place to relax, unwind and enjoy the nice air at place
place. We had our snack, we tried there coco honey product and calamsi
coco honey juice. We took pics and enjoyed the view and relax. 4:30 pm we
went back to the hotel and rest a little bit and had our dinner. After dinner we
Nikki, Jahnin, Anna had some drink chit chat about life, laugh about what
happened in the island hopping and went to bed to rest. Second day was a
blast we really enjoy every minute of it.
3rd and last day. Cagwait white beach
We woke up later than the wake up call. It is check out so we pack up our
bags and head to the dining area for our breakfast. After breakfast we went
to our room and get our things, It's was 8 am when left our room. It was a
nice experience to sleep in a place like La entrada. After check out we went
directly to the van. Bye bye La entrada, hello Cagwait. We were so excited to
have a glimpse of this Little Boracay of the CARAGA, after 2 hours drive,
finally we are here in our last stop for the tour. I was amaze how long the
beach was. We to swim and took pictures at the beach, we really enjoyed the
beach because it doesn't have rocks in it. The beach is not the blue it was
fine but not like in Britania were the beach are blue waters. After swimming
we in the wide beach we changed our wet clothes and it for lunch, we had

our best lunch so far in the tour, they served as crabs, kinilaw, fish and
shrimp tempura. We were like in heaven while eating. We really like the food.
It was really delicious. Best crabs I ever had. After eating we had our little
concert lead by jahnin and the dancer sir pao. After the fun and delicious
food. We are ready to leave Surigao del sur. 1pm when we travel to Butuan,
4pm we arrived at Butuan and decided to go to robinson mall and kill time,
because our dinner served at 6pm. After malling it was 5:30, we now went to
hans diner for our dinner. We are still full because we had our snack in the
mall but then we decided to eat because we are afraid to be hungry on the
road. After our dinner we went back to the van, it was I think 7pm when we
went to the famous Snackbreak and bought there best tasting halo-halo. And
bought some pasulobong. And then go back to the van. Its bye bye time. It's
to go home. 10 pm when we got here at Cagayan. We were really tired but
had fun in the tour. Surigao del Sur Eco tour is the definition of fun and
excitement tour. Full of unforgettable memories.
