My hometown:

I come from a small town called Sur. First of all, it’s is very green and has many beaches and
mountains. My hometown has a very small population and the people are very friendly. It also has a
small city center or down town area and you can find many shops and restaurants. For example, sea
food restaurants supermarkets. Furthermore, my hometown is a coastal town as a results, there are
many boats and ships called dhows made by a small traditional wooden ship factory. In addition, there
are many fishermen around so you can eat many kinds of cheap fish. It’s very hot in the summer and
warm in the winter. There are many parks and museums in my hometown. Many tourists visit my
hometown in the winter time because of the pleasant weather and the can see the turtles and their
little ones.

On previous holidays, My family and I have been travelling to the island of Langkawi. We were there
for 4 days and 3 nights. We arrived in island in the evening. We did not check in the hotel first, but we
went to our first destinations is Cable Car. The cable car has three stops destination that we had to
through. It’s quite scary when we rode it. We had use the cable car to climbing up and down.

After we went to Cable Car, we rested ourselves and pray at hotel. In night, we dinner
together at Telaga Seafood Restaurant. This restaurant provides Westerns food, Arabian food and
Malay food. We ate a lot of food that my parents ordering to us.

In second day, we breakfast at the hotel and started our journey at Langkawi Island. My sister
had already booking our boat to go around in Langkawi Island. The islands that available in Langkawi
Island is like ” Pulau Kasut” , ” Gua Buaya” , Gorilla Island , Lady Island and a lot of island that have in
there. But in we also went to swimming at Private Island. This island we can swimming but have a
time that we can swim at there. In evening, we’re going to “Dayang Bunting Island” there’s is the most
beautiful island in the Langkawi Island.

In third day, my sister already go to the shopping and bought the things that she wanted give
to her friends. At Langkawi Island, the price of the chocolate,clothes and souviners is cheaper and
there have duty shop that we can bought chocolate,cigarette and perfume. But for me, i just bought
some of chocolate for my friends and my ownself. There’s so many brands of chocolate that we can
buy it at there and for those who really likes the chocolate surely cannot decide what type of chocolate
they want to buy it. Our next destination is going to factory of sea cucumber and at there we can see
how the process see cucumber was made.

On the last day, before we’re going to go back home, we decide to lunch at Langkawi Island
because want to ate at “Rojak Hafiz”. Most of people said” Rojak Hafiz” is the most famous rojak stall
at Langkawi Island and taste of rojak was supper awesome and source of the rojak is so delicious.
After all of us done with lunch, we rushed to the jetty and our tickets at 3:30p.m. This is the best ever
family trip in my life even though my parents didn’t bring us to overseas for enjoy our holidays but for
me the most important things are when my family can give some space and spend their times to
made this family trip successful.
During last weekend,my parents decided to take us to Cameron Highlands.In the morning,we packed
our clothes and loaded them into my father's car.We hit the road at 7 a.m. in my father's Suzuki Swift.

First,we visited to the bee farm.We could see bees flying freely and pollinating.We could
purchased some pure honey and honey products sold there.At first,I was scared to see the bees flying
freely as I thought it would sting us but soon I realised that they wouldn't sting us if we didn't disturb
them.Then,we moved to our second location.

Our second location was the Boh Tea Plantation.The teas were planted on terraced hill slopes.We
also did not miss the chance to take some screenshots there.We also saw a waterfall there.The
sound of water cascading from the top of the mountain was soothing to our ears and nerves.We were
mesmerised by the crystal clear water.Our warm bodies chilled when the cold mountain water
caressed our body.As we were enjoying the waterfall,it started to rain and we dashed to find a spot to
take shelter.

After the heavy downpour,we decided to stop at one of the many strawberry parks in Cameron
Highlands.Before leaving the tea plantation,we made sure to buy some fresh tea.We decided to visit
the Big Red Strawberry Farm.A lot of strawberries were cultivated there.Salad and lettuce plants are
also planted there.We had our tea time there.We bought some strawberries and souvenirs to take
back home.

As the sun slowly set under the horizon,we knew it was time to say goodbye to this awesome
place.We had a whale of a time in Cameron Highlands and we truly enjoyed ourselves.

During the school holiday, I was in Malacca with my family. Malacca is known as the historical city of
Malaysia because it used to be a famous port hundreds of years ago. Other than that, it is also rich in
culture and delicious culinary delights.

We stayed in a luxurious five-star hotel. The first destination we headed to was A Famosa
which was a famous historical site built by the Portuguese in 1411. It used to be a grand fort but it was
destroyed by another occupying force. Now it is only a small portion left. Over there, we bought some
interesting souvenirs.

Next, we went to the Crocodile Farm to see the famous reptiles. We saw many species of
crocodiles that we do not usually see. Some of them even come from America! (which should be
called alligators instead of crocodiles) The most exciting moment was during the crocodile feeding
session. The trainer was so amazing that he put his hand into the crocodile’s mouth for over a minute.
Isn’t that scary?

Opposite our hotel, there is a shopping center called Mahkota Parade. It is a large shopping
complex. We could shop there for a whole day but we became tired, so we watched a movie in the
complex instead. Finally, on the last day of our visit, we traveled to A Farmosa Waterworld. My family
and I enjoyed all water games such as water ball, slides, surfing, swimming, diving and so on. We
even had a picnic there. So, this is how I spent my school holidays.
