Pari Island

During the Eid al-Fitr holiday in 2019, my family and I took a vacation to Pari Island. Pari Island
is located in the northern part of DKI Jakarta.

We departed from Muara Angke port, North Jakarta at 07.00 AM using a motorboat. The trip
time from Muara Angke Port to Pari Island is approximately 2 hours. During the trip, we were
treated to views of the blue sea and passing several islands that are closer than Pari Island. The
boat used as transportation to Pari Island had a large enough capacity, the atmosphere is quite
stuffy and stifling.

On arrival at Pari Island, there were a lot of traders selling cilor. These cilor traders are scattered
in various places around the port on Pari Island.

It takes about 3 hours after arriving at Pari Island to rest, perform midday prayers, and eat. We
snorkel around Pari Island. It takes about 10 minutes by boat from Pari Island to get to the
snorkeling spot. The depth of the sea used for snorkeling is approximately 2 meters. Colorful
fish, coral reefs with unique shapes make snorkeling so fun. It didn't feel like we had been
snorkeling for 1.5 hours, it was time to go home.

After about 45 minutes of resting, performing Asar prayers, and eating some snacks at the
homestay, then we visited Perawan Beach. Perawan Beach is located on Pari Island, to get to
Perawan beach, I used the bicycle that had been provided at the homestay.

Upon arrival at Perawan Beach, we were treated to a very beautiful beach view. Spread white
sand, clear water with calm waves and a gentle breeze. We visited the Perawan Beach coast in
two places. The first Perawan coastal area did not have many tourists, so the beach was not
crowded.

The journey continues to see the sunset on Perawan Beach which is usually visited by many
people. White sand, mangrove trees, and rippling water with calm waves become an
unforgettable sight on this beach. On the opposite side of the beach, there is a small island that
can be reached by crossing directly, walking past the beach with a water level of about 50-70 cm.
Around 7 Pm we were treated to a second meal at the homestay, the first meal was given this
afternoon at around 1 pm. After eating, we chatted together jokingly enjoying a short vacation on
Pari Island.

At 8.30 Pm the guide asked us to go back to Perawan Beach to carry out a BBQ. There we burn
fish, sea fish caught by local fishermen. Perawan Beach at night is pitch black but crowded
because of the crowd BBQ. Live music and children playing ball on the beachside ads to the
night crowd on the Perawan Beach of Pari Island.

On the second day of Pari Island, at 04.00 Am we woke up from a deep sleep. At 05.00 Am we
rushed to Sun Hill to watch the sunrise. Matahari Hill is located not far from the pier where the
boat is anchored.
At 07.00 Am we were given our third meal, the last meal on Pari Island. After the energy is fully
charged, we prepare to visit the last tourist spot on Pari Island, namely Pantai Bintang. As the
name implies, besides being treated to beautiful panoramas, Bintang Beach is also treated to the
endemic Sea Star typical of Pari Island which is cute and adorable. Sea Star on Bintang Beach is
white with small black spots with small arms rather long.

Apart from enjoying the beauty of starfish, on the coast, there are also hammocks and several
swings that can be enjoyed on the beachside. The beauty of this time is complete, the morning
breeze at Bintang Beach, the exotic scenery, and the starfish that can be held directly. After
feeling satisfied playing at Bintang Beach, we rushed back to our homestay, took a shower, and
tidied up our things.

Yes, Bintang Beach is the last place to visit. Around 11.00, the boat that took us yesterday
arrived to take us back to Muara Angke Port, DKI Jakarta. It was a great trip and the most
unforgettable experience.
