Foreword!!
This workshop aims at making
the students familiar with the
Implementation and Verification
of Electronic circuits on LT-Spice
IV.
Implementation and Simulation
of Electronic Circuit Elements on
PROTEUS ISIS.
Designing of Printed Circuit

Why Simulate??
What Comes to Your Mind??
Simulation
is
a
process
of
translating your paper design to
some
test
able form.
Every
electronic circuit is only significant if
it can be realized on the hardware
otherwise it is nothing more than
just an imagination.
If every designed circuit is to be
tested on the physical hardware
then it may prove to be extremely
time and money wasting!!
Solution to the above problem is to6
use software tools for realizing the

Where to
Simulate??
We have already established a
point that Simulations are the
easier and reasonable solution;
so now what to use for
simulation??
The answer is really simple,
since there are quiet a few
Simulators available.
These Electronic Workbenches
can be used for the Purpose but
the two most commonly used7
Simulators are discussed during

Commonly Used
Workbenches!!

LT-SPICE.
Proteus ISIS.
Eagle.
Electronic Workbench.
P-SPICE.

Results!!
Now Let us First Analyze a
Couple of Circuits which will
then be implemented using the
LT-SPICE.
Proteus ISIS.

Simulation and Analysis Using LTSpice!!

Analog circuit simulation has
been inseparable from analog IC
design. SPICE simulator is the
only way to check circuitry prior
to integration onto a chip.
Further, the SPICE simulation
allows
measurements
of
currents and voltages that are
virtually impossible to do any
other way.
Now let us understand how this
10
simulator works!!

Simulation and Analysis Using ProteusISIS!!

This is Schematic Capturing and
Simulating Software
which
involves following Functionalities.
Support for both interactive and
graph based simulation.
CPU Models available for popular
microcontrollers such as the PIC
and 8051 series.
Interactive peripheral models
include LED and LCD displays, a
universal matrix keypad, an
RS232 terminal and a whole

Virtual
Instruments
include
voltmeters, ammeters, a dual
beam oscilloscope and a 24
channel logic analyzer.
Open architecture for plug in
component models coded in C++
or other languages. These can be
electrical.,
graphical
or
a
combination of the two.
A design created for simulation
can also be used to generate a
netlist for creating a PCB - there
is no need to enter the design a15
