ICCI Interview Questions

For this exercise, sit with a partner and conduct an interview. Ask the questions that follow
these instructions. You have the liberty to paraphrase the questions to your liking. Be the
author of your interview. Work collaboratively and as often as possible, record your findings.
If you feel the need to switch roles (interviewer/interviewee) feel free to do so.
1. What does Writing mean to you? Do you have a particular affinity to writing? (Perhaps a
genre you really enjoy)
2. What do you write most often?
a. What tools do you use to do so?
3. How do you prepare to write?
a. How do you start?
b. What do you do while writing?
c. How do you know when you are done?
4. What goes on (mentally and/or physically) as you are writing?
a. Is it different for different genres? (Fiction, poetry, essay, Facebook post)
5. Does any of our conversation (the interviewees answers) constitute how you learn?
