~ Rights and Responsibilities ~

In our class we have the right to

v Learn in a safe and positive environment

v Be respected by others which also includes: respect of our learning space,

feelings, property, and friendships
v Be treated fairly, our opinions and choices not judged by others
v Learn at our own pace while getting help from teachers
v Be part of a team and have fun while we learn and play


We will ensure these rights by

v Being responsible for our own behaviour to allow for a safe and positive
learning space
v Thinking about how we use our words and how they will affect others, doing
our best to give constructive criticism (no put downs) and by staying positive
and supportive
v Respecting the class and school rules
v Being responsible, honest, trustworthy, and helpful to others
v Cooperating with our peers in a variety of ways and following
the golden rule, always having integrity
