October 4th - Picture Day


October 6 - D.A.R.E. field trip
The field trip is to the F.O.P. camp. The cost of the trip is $2.00, and students need to purchase a sack
lunch or bring a sack lunch. Lunches should be disposable. Students should also wear weather-appropriate clothing.
Please check the forecast for the day.
October 7th to 10th - Fall Break - No School
Just a reminder, now that we are in full swing, all cars must have a dash tag to pick students up after school. Cars
without dash tags will be sent around to park and go into the school office with identification to pick their students
up.

Grammar(5.W.6.1e)Wewillcontinuepracticingwritingwithdeclarative,interrogative,imperative,and
exclamatorysentences.Spellingtestwillincludetheidentificationofeachofthesetypesofsentencesintheirwriting.
StudentswillfocusonincludingcomplexsentencesaswellintheirFavoriteMusicianpaperandpowerpoint.
Writing(5.W.3.2)Wehavecompletedresearching.Wewillnowbeginwritingourresearchpapers.outlining,and
drafting will be the first steps in our research paper project.
