We have our first math test on Thursday, October 6th. Wondering what you need to
Be Able To Do? Good thing you have this BATD sheet to help you out.
For our test, you need to be able to do the following:
1. Identify integers and opposites, find the absolute value of integer, compare integers
with and without a number line, and order integers (FOA 1.1 and 1.2)
2. Add integers with like and unlike signs as well as add more than two integers (FOA
1.3)
3. Subtract integers with like and unlike signs (FOA 1.4)
4. Multiply and divide integers (FOA 1.5 & 1.6)
5. Write a number in standard, exponential, and factored form, apply and understand
multiplication and division laws of exponents, identify a number to the zero power, and
simplify expressions with exponents (FOA 1.9)
6. Use the order of operations to simplify numerical expressions with grouping symbols
and exponents using the expectations conveyed in class (each step has its own line,
work vertically down the page) (FOA 1.10)
7. Identify properties of addition and multiplication (FOA 1.7, Properties Chart)
8. Identify and graph points in all four quadrants, on the x-axis, and on the y-axis as well
as identify the quadrant or axis location of an ordered pair (FOA 1-11)
Format:
8 short answer, 3 true/false, 4 graphing, & 2 word problems
