Philippines Note to People's Republic of China, 25 September 2015
The Government of the Republic of the Philippines considers it necessary
to communicate the following to the Government of the People's Republic of
China.
On 25th April 2015, Chinese officials have defended the land reclamation
by saying it is Beijings territory, adding that the buildings and infrastructure are
for public service use and to support fishermen. It accuses the Philippines of
carrying out their own building work on other islands.
The government of the Republic of the Philippines protests to the
Government People's Republic of China in connection with the expanding
reclamation works on the disputed areas in the South China Sea by People's
Republic of China should such provocations be repeated, the Philippine
Government will have to take retaliatory measures, the responsibility for whose
consequences will rest with the governments of the states committing 6
