MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Isaiah 58-60; 1 Timothy 6
Monday, October 17

Prov. 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the
LORD.
Guiding God and Directing Lord:
If the tossing of a coin is decided by you and the outcome of a childs
game, then how much more the events of an earthquake, tornado, hurricane, and
even of my entire life? Let me give this hope to those who are lost:
Matt. 10:29-30 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not
fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Help me both remember this and counsel others with this. Let me use it to
relieve my own anxiety attack today, because then I can better walk in patience
and joy before others. I find that when I worry I cannot pray in faith. When I am
troubled about the world I cannot serve my Master, because then my thoughts
are serving myself. Help me Lord, to lead myself and others to
Matt. 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things shall be added unto you.
I am butting-in to Gods business and neglecting my own when I fret about
my lot, my circumstances, or the outcome of an election. It is mine to seek and
obey, but not my job to provide. Manage my provision Lord, as I seek you today.
I praise you for your heart of mercy, which can never prove unkind. I bless
you for your unexplainable wisdom, which will never be at fault. Above all I look
to Christ as my Intercessor before the throne of grace. You remember even
sparrows, so I know you will not forget me or those I witness to in your name.
Psa. 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never
suffer the righteous to be moved.
So I do today, as I pray for the salvation of _______ and _______. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 1-3; 2 Timothy 3
Thursday, October 20

Gen. 17:1-3 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to
Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And
I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. And Abram
fell on his face: and God talked with him,

THY way, not mine, O Lord, how ever dark it be!

Lead me by thine own hand, choose out the path for me;
Smooth let it be or rough, it will be still the best;
Winding or straight, it leads right onward to thy rest.
The kingdom that I seek is thine; so let the way
That leads to it be thine, else I must surely stray.
I dare not choose my lot; I would not if I might:
Choose thou for me, my God, so shall I walk aright.
Take thou my cup, and it with joy or sorrow fill
As best to thee may seem; choose thou my good and ill.
Not mine, not mine the choice in things or great or small;
Be thou my Guide, my Strength, my Wisdom, and my All.
Horatius Bonar, 1857

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS MIRACLES

Chronological Bible Reading: Isaiah 61-63; 2 Timothy 1
Tuesday, October 18

John 5:8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
Merciful Master:
How I love the way you work! (1) First you give a command. (2) Next, you
help my heart turn the command into a prayer. (3) Finally, you answer that prayer
according to your promise. For example, you give the command,
Ezek. 33:11 turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of
Israel?
Then comes my prayer because of being commanded.
Jer. 31:18 turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou art the LORD my God.
Finally follows the answer to that prayer as you send your promised Son,
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the
power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them
which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
You command me to purge out the old leaven of sin. So I have to pray, Purge me
with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Then comes the promise in your word,
Isa. 1:25 And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross,
I am commanded to sing praises to God. Then I read the prayer I have to
pray: Open thou my lips, and my mouth shall show forth thy praise. Finally, you give the
divine promise, This peopleshall shew forth my praise.
Make your miracles work in my life today! (1) You command me to work,
(2) you set me to praying so I will be able to work, (3) then you give me grace to
work the command in fulfillment of your promise. I find the ability is inherent
in the obedience to the command. What a wonder!
Make me more believing and more obedient, so I can see all the miracles
you want to work through me. Do it to honor Jesus today. Amen.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 4-6; 2 Timothy 4
Friday, October 21

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Isaiah 64-66; 2 Timothy 2
Wednesday, October 19

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and
purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Almighty God and Merciful Father:
I pray your grace will both precede and follow me. Make me continually
given to good works, living in the world without becoming of it. Grant me grace
to withstand the temptations that come through the world, the flesh and the
Devil. Help me follow you with a pure heart, a sound mind and a holy body.
Col. 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called
in one body; and be ye thankful.
Without you I am not able to please you. Grant me your Holy Spirit today
in all things, that he might rule and direct my heart. Lead me not into temptation.
Keep me from anything that would hurt me or injure spiritual power, so I can
be ready both in body and soul to cheerfully accomplish your will.
Grant me peace along with my pardon, so I will be certain I am cleansed
from all my sins, and can serve you with a quiet mind. Guard the people in my
household in continual godliness. Let no one fall to Potiphars wife and her
painted seductions. Keep us from sin Lord, so we can be free from all the
adverse consequences that come from unrighteousness. Make us purposely given
to serve you as good soldiers, to the glory of Jesus name!
You are my refuge; you are my strength. You are the author of my
righteousness. Be ready to hear my prayers and let me be as ready to give them.
Grant that those things I ask for in faith I can readily obtain, so through your
great grace I can be delivered from the bands of those sins I commit so often in
my weakness. Grant this request for personal revival for the sake of Jesus and his
finished work alone. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 7-9; Titus 1
Saturday, October 22

1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.
And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Psa. 71:15 My mouth shall show forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day;
for I know not the numbers thereof.

Merciful Lord and Heavenly Father:

With angels and archangels and with all the company of heaven, we laud
and magnify your glorious name, evermore praising you. Glory be to you, O Lord
Most High. Help us lift your name this Fall season before others.
We do not presume to come to you trusting in our own righteousness, but
in your manifold grace and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to
gather the crumbs from under your table, but you are the same Lord whose
characteristic is to always have mercy aplenty. Grant us therefore to so fellowship
with your Son our sinful flesh is mortified and our soul is glorified, being made
one with Christ, so we can dwell all day in him and he in us by your Spirit.
As your humble servants we request you to accept our sacrifice of praise
and thanksgiving. Grant that, by the merits, death, and finished work of your Son
Jesus, and through faith in his blood, others will receive redemption and
forgivenesseven through our witness this week and services this Sunday!
We offer and present our bodies a living sacrifice to you Lord, as is our
reasonable and holy service. We humbly ask for every one in our church who is a
true partaker of Christs faith to be filled with your Spirit and be the recipient of
your grace, sufficient to every task of this week. Although we are unworthy,
though our sins are manifold, yet we plead in prayer for you to accept our
ministry todaynot weighing our meritsbut pardoning our faults through
Jesus Christ our Lord, by whom and through whom, and with whom in the unity
of the Holy Ghost, we participate in your plan and mission for our lives. All
honor and Glory be to Jesus today, for so we ask it in his name. Amen.

Gracious God:
My righteousness is not worth mentioning. Filthy rags are best hidden from
view! But your righteousness in Christ Jesus is able to fill my soul completely.
Phil. 3:8-9 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the
knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count
them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own
righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness
which is of God by faith:
Forever dedicated to you, I am. My glory is to glorify you alone. I am your
disciple.
Psa. 71:18 Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I
have showed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
When my physical infirmities multiply, give me greater privileges in the
realm of grace to make-up for the decline of blessing in the realm of nature.
Nothing can make you forsake me if I have not forsaken you. Your promise has
kissed my fear into silence. Selah!
Psa. 71:21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
Let my life be a record of trust open for others to read, because your power
is so worthy of praise! The purpose of life for every believer is to work zealously
for the accomplishment of your praise.
Psa. 71:24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are
confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.
You are mighty to save. It is safest to lean on you. Amen.

HOW TO BUILD A BALANCED LIFE

THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

PRAYER DIARY

TIMEWORSHIP

Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
