Scabs that form as the ulcers heal

Men: sores on penis, scrotum, thighs, and urethra
Women: sores in vaginal areas, external genitals, and cervix
3. How does someone get this STD? Sexual intercourse or oral sex,
exchange of bodily fluids? Blood to blood contact?
Oral sex, vaginal sex, and anal sex
Skin to skin contact
4. How can you protect yourself from this STD? Be specific!
Use a condom
Ask partner if they have a sexually transmitted disease
Dont have sex with anyone that has sores in their genital area or oral
sex with anyone that has sores in their mouth
Ask partner to be tested for genital herpes
