Shair-e-Mashriq and Mufakkir-e-Islam
Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The Complex is
intended to serve as a centre to spread his
message of continuous struggle for the
glory of Islam, unity of Ummah and
revival of Islamic spirit.

Why favorite?
This building was designed as monumental building but serves as multi-functional
building. Aiwan-e-Iqbal has three interconnected towers. These towers are
connected through transitional spaces.

Spaces:
This building has different types of spaces like:
Office complex

Design philosophy:
The complex has been designed keeping in
view the local heritage and architecture.
The facade attempts to depict Iqbals
philosophy of uprightness and selfconfidence. The slenderness of elements is
meant to represent the delicacy of his
poetic expression. A judicious combination
of fountains, waterfalls and greenery, also,
enrich the quality of environment and
provide a measure of relief from the harsh
commercial surroundings.
This building shows the concept of Iqbal
which he gave to the Muslims selfconfidence.
Elements which have been used in this
building shows the Islamic patterns like:
Geometry
Arches
Symmetrical planning
