Triple Play & NGN
The ADSL2plus, VDSL2 and SHDSL
connectivity allows advanced
services such as VoIP, Broadband
Internet, Video on Demand, video
conferencing and TV over DSL
delivered to the subscribers and
brings new revenues to operators.

The complete integration of

services and network functions
eliminates the need for multiple
equipment and provides CAPEX
and OPEX advantages.
The MileGate 2110 has the form
factor of 1 HU x 19".
Two service-unit slots are available
and each slot can be equipped
with ADSL2plus, VDSL2 or SHDSL
service units. Each ADSL2 or SHDSL
unit offers 32 DSL interfaces and

Operators can prioritise different

types of traffic to maintain the
Service Level Agreements towards
the subscribers. Each Permanent
Virtual Circuit (PVC) is assigned with
an ATM Class of Service which is
mapped to the appropriate packet
priority.

Interoperability

One Management System

The MileGate 2110 fully supports

standard interfaces and is
interoperable with industry
standard ADSL/2/2plus, VDSL2 or
SHDSL CPEs.

The management of the various

types of services and transport
functions is all centralised. XML,
CLI and SNMP interfaces to a
higher level management system
are supported. The management
of the MileGate family can also be
centralised under the umbrella of
the UNEM/MCST system. By
having one element manager for
all types of services, operators save
costs and can accelerate the
provisioning process.

The network interfaces are in

accordance with the industry
standards and permit interworking
with any standard compliant
Ethernet/IP equipment.
