Lars Babendererde

Graduado en Ingeniera Mecnica de la Fachhochschule Friedberg, en Alemania, Lars Babendererde es uno de los
fundadores de la compaa de consultora ingenieril Bebendererde Engineers GmbH, especializada en el tuneleo y
en las obras subterrneas. Tambin est involucrado en diferentes sociedades como la British Tunnelling Society, la
SUVA, y la Asociacin Internacional de Tneles, entre otras. Ha colaborado en ms de 30 publicaciones, congresos
nacionales e internacionales y medios de comunicacin. // Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from
Fachhochschule Friedberg, Germany, Mr. Babendererde is one of the founding members of the engineering
consultancy company Bebendererde Engineers GmbH, specialised in tunneling and underground works. He is also
involved in different sicieties such as the British Tunnelling Society, SUVA, the International Tunnelling Association,
among others. He has collaborated in more than 30 publications, national and international congresses and media.

Lok Home

Lok Home comenz su carrera de ms de 45 aos en la industria minera y de tneles luego de graduarse en
tecnologa minera de la Haileybury School of Mines en Ontario, Canad. En 1968 se integr a Robbins. Lok ocup el
puesto de presidente de Atlas Copco Jarva de 1980 a 1985, para luego fundar Boretec Inc., empresa que en 1998
compr a Robbins, y unific las dos compaas bajo el nombre de Robbins, y que es en la actualidad un fabricante
internacional de mquinas tuneladoras y equipo para obras subterrneas, presente en ms de 35 pases. // Lok
Home began his over 45 year-old career in the tunneling and mining industry after graduating with a degree in
mining technology from the Haileybury School of Mines in Ontario, Canada. In 1968 he joined the Robbins
Company. Lok served as president of Atlas Copco Jarva from 1980 to 1985, then founded Boretec, Inc. which in 1998
acquired Robbins and unified the two companies under the Robbins name, and is today a worldwide manufacturer
of tunnel boring machines and underground equipment, present in over 35 countries.

Karin se gradu como ingeniera civil de la Universidad Tcnica de Karlsruhe, Alemnia (hoy conocida como KIT), y
realiz estudios de posgrado en la Colorado School of Mines, en Estados Unidos. Se uni a Herrenknecht en 1997
y desde entonces, se ha especializado en geotecnologa, investigacin y desarrollo. Desde 2008, Karin ha estado a
la cabeza del departamento de Geotecnia y Consultora para la frecuencia como ponente en seminarios de
posgrado en universidades en Francia, Alemania, Italia y Estados Unidos en temas de Tneles y Mquinas
Tuneladoras. // Karin graduated as a civil engineer from Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany (today KIT) and
completed post graduate studies at the Colorado School of Mines, USA. She joined Herrenknecht in 1997 and
since then, has specialized in geotechnology, research and development. Since 2008, Karin has managed the
Geotechnical and Consulting department for the Traffic Tunneling Division at Herrenknechts head office in
Schwanau, Germany. She is an invited lecturer for postgraduate degrees at Universities in France, Germany, Italy
and the USA on the topic of Tunnelling and Tunnel Boring Machines.

Piergiorgio Grasso

Egresado del Politcnico de Turn, Italia en ingeniera civil, comenz su trayectoria como ingeniero en 1975. Es el
fundador y presidente de Geodata desde 1984, agencia de consultora especializada en el diseo y la gestin de
obras subterrneas, tanto en entornos urbanos como en reas montaosas. Es miembro del Consejo Ejecutivo de
ITA, y ex Vicepresidente de la ITA. Tambin ha cooperado en el Grupo de Trabajo 17 de ITA, Tneles Largos y
Profundos, como su animador y tutor El seor Grasso ocupa actualmente el puesto de Vicepresidente de la
Fundacin ITACET. // Graduated from Politecnico di Torino, Italy in civil engineering, he began his engineering
career in 1975. He is thefounder and President of Geodata since 1984, a consultancy agency specialized in the
design and management ofunderground works, both in urban environments and in mountain areas. He is a
member of the ITA ExecutiveCouncil and is a former ITA Vice President. He also served the ITA Working Group 17
on Long and Deep Tunnels as its animateur and tutor. Mr. Grasso also serves as ITACET Foundation Vice President.

Werner Burger se gradu en Ingeniera de la Universidad de Ciencia Aplicada de Offenburg, Alemania. En 1985, se
integr a Herrenknecht como ingeniero de diseo y desde 1989 es el Jefe del Departamento de Ingeniera y
Diseo, responsable del desarrollo tcnico de nuevas mquinas tuneladoras y del manejo de las patantes, entre
otras funciones. Werner es miembro del grupo de trabajo TC 151 sobre estndares de seguridad del CEN,
miembro de varios grupos de trabajo de ITA, conferencista para la Fundacin ITACET, miembro del SME y de
numerosas publicaciones tcnicas de tuneleo y minera. // Werner Burger graduated in Engineering from the
University of Applied Science in Offering, Germany. In 1985 he joined Herrenknecht as a design engineer and since
1989 he is the Head of the Engineering & Design Department, responsible for the technical development of new
boring machines and handling of patents,among other functions. Werner is a member of CEN safety standards
working group TC 151, member of ITA working groups, ITACET Foundation speaker, member of SME and
numerous technical publications for tunnelling and mining.

Felix Amberg cuenta con una Maestra de Ciencias en Ingeniera Civil del Instituto de Tecnologa de Zrich, Suiza.
Es el Presidente del Grupo Amberg. Ocupa adems otros cargos como el de tesorero y miembro de ExCo de ITA,
tutor del Comit de ITA-COSUF, tutor del Grupo WG 12 de ITA, secretario y miembro del consejo de la Fundacin
ITACET, ex Presidente de la Sociedad de Tneles Suiza, y Presidente de la Fundacin CUC y de la L-SurFFoudation.
Su conocimiento especializado se enfoca en la Construccin de Tneles para Autopistas y Trenes, Construccin
Especial, Tecnologa de Materiales, Equipo de Medicin para la Evaluacin del Estado de Tneles, Gestin de
Proyectos y Seguridad y Proteccin. // Mr. Amberg holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the Institute
of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. He is the President of the Amberg Group. He also holds several other
positions such as treasurer and member of the ITA ExCo, Tutor of the ITA-COSUF Committee, ITA Tutor WG 12,
Secretary and member of the ITACET Foundation Council, Former Swiss Tunnelling Society President, and President
of the CUC Foundation & L-SurFFoundation. His special knowledge focuses on Road & Railway tunnel construction,
Special Construction, Material Technology, Measuring Equipment for State Assessment of Tunnels, Project
Management and Safe & Security.

Graduado en 1982 como Maestro en Ciencias en Ingeniera Civil por la Universidad Tcnica de Dinamarca y en
Economa Internacional y Negocios por la Universidad de Negocios de Copenhagen en 1987, Eskesen cuenta con
30 aos de experiencia internacional en obras subterrneas y de tneles. Es un gerente de proyectos eficiente as
como un asesor experimentado de tneles. Eskesen es Presidente de la ITA y de la Sociedad Danesa de Tneles y
Obras Subterrneas. Ha liderado el desarrollo de las Normas para el Manejo de Riesgo en Tneles de la ITA,
llevadas a cabo por el WG 2, y ha sido el autor de una serie de artculos y trabajos sobre el desarrollo de proyectos
subterrneos y tneles. Tambin ha dado discursos en numerosas conferencias internacionales, ha impartido
cursos de capacitacin para ITA-CET as como para el Curso de Master en Tuneleo TBM acreditado por la ITA. //
Graduated in 1982 with a Masters Degree of Science in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of
Denmark, and in International Economics & BA from the Copenhagen Business School in 1987, Mr. Eskesen has 30
years of international experience in tunnel and underground works. He is an effective project manager as well as
an experienced tunnel advisor. Mr Eskesen is the President of the ITA and President of the Danish Society for
Tunnels & Undergrounds Works. He has been leading the development of the ITA "Guidelines for Tunnelling Risk
Management issued by WG 2 and has been the author of several articles and papers on the development of
tunnel and underground projects. He has also given presentations at a high number of international conferences,
ITA-CET training courses as well as the ITA credited Master Course in TBM Tunnelling.
