30th NIMR Annual Joint Scientific Conference 2016

The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), held its 30th Annual Joint Scientific
Conference (AJSC), from 4th to 6th October 2016, at the Julius Nyerere International
Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam. The conference theme wasAchieving the
Sustainable Development Goals: Investing Innovative Research to fill the Critical Gaps
Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, the Vice President of the United Republic of
Tanzania officiated the 30th Annual Joint Scientific Conference on 4th October 2016. The
conference was attended by various stakeholders including scientists from within and
outside the country, policy makers, academicians, and representatives of several
academic and research institutions. HKMU was represented by the Acting Vice Chancellor,
Prof. Godwin Ndossi.
