INTRODUCTION
The Backgroud For Choosing The Basic Grammar
In appropriate at the writers mastery backgroud, so that the writer has
choosen vocabulary that a research will good if the researcher fully understand
about reallity vocabulary grammar and evaluation the formulation of the complete
grammar and much collection data and useful sentences for studying the students
in the laptop, writing books, television, computer, library. Therefore, the people
are intellegency to research the students have observation it for along time, its still
talk that most of the students are still difficult to master it. It can be taken from
mastery speaking and learning purposes by using the correct answer when they
are listening, especially in listening diary texts, based on the above conseptual the
writers is interested to research about the factor that influence to the students skill
in writing the grammar text, in this case their mastery in basic grammar patterns
and make the topic of his resaearchs as follows : the research on the relationship
between the students mastery in basic grammar paterns and their skill in writing
diary to the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sipirok in 2016 2017
academic years.
Beside the above backgrounds, the writers has choosen the topic based on
the following reasons :
1. The basic grammar patterns are choosen based on the understanding that they
are always used in writing the diary.

2. The writers chooses writing diary, because writing diary is important to be

mastered by the students for it can be used to intelligency the conceptual

material and describle the things in general.
