CHAPTER 1

He sighed as he opened the window to let the morning sun in. He then sat at the
corner, playing with the sun ray. Somehow, its all matter now. He sees the speck of light as
his toy. Continue chasing it until he blocked the ray with his own hand. Smiling alone like an
idiot, then he remembered something. He silently lean on the wall, trying to figure out what
was it. Yes. She was gone. She was not there anymore. No more good mornings, no more
fighting on how to go to school, no more laughter and no more hugs of comfort. He was
alone. The days ahead are empty. He is no more. Then he went back to his room, grabbed the
bed sheet and went straight back to sleep. How long was it now? One month? His daily
routine began and ends just like that. No bullshit in the middle, just him and his own freaky
lonely world. Not that he hasnt any friends or family, but it all seems to distant to him.
Nobody will ever understand him. Or so he thought. Then the house was empty again. Not a
single sound can be heard in or out. Only loneliness and gloom filled the air.
He woke up at the middle of the night. He let out a very distressing yawn. Slowly he
goes to the kitchen and went straight to the fridge. Nothing was inside, other than a single
slice of cheese and bread. He sighs again. He ate it up and went back to sleep. Tick tock tick
tock the clock ticks. He woke up to find himself in a field covered in flowers. Red, yellow,
green, purple you name it. There were all kinds of colours and he did felt flustered by it. He
ran around like an idiot screaming in happy tune, until he stumbled upon a very spectacular
and sparkling entity, almost blinding. He slowly approached it with a very familiar feeling,
feeling of love. Slowly, he felt a soft touch on his hands and was carried away with it.
Through all the running, he catches a glimpse of what he thought to be an angel. Bright pink
cheeks, long brown hair, big eyes and skin as soft as a babys. Through all the running, he
cried, so hard. Then he lets out a scream. The feeling was gone. It was him all alone again.
Dark, messy and gloom was his friends. He slowly curled up with his crying, then went back
to sleep again. That was one hell of a dream.
It was around the time to start again. The holidays were over, and he will be going
back to college as soon as the new semester began. Somehow it was too hard for him. He
could not possibly do it all over again. Not this year, not alone. He then remembers that it was
his final year, what could possibly go wrong? Just be a good student and graduate, find a job
then dies in a car crash while driving the company car to some meeting he thought. He had
nothing to live for. Every waking time he only thought of going back to sleep and be inside
his shell again. But it was not all. He clearly remembers the dream he had. Maybe, just
maybe, I too, have a chance of happiness. He smirks. Or maybe not, he thought again and
walked past his rented room with a stupid look on his face. He did not even have breakfast at
home and went straight to college. He saw some familiar face around but he did not bother to
greet them like he would normally do. He went straight to class and sit, like a normal human
being would do. Through it all, he was glad that the day was finally over. Some of his old
acquaintances greeted him and asked where he was throughout the holidays. He gave them a
very simple and straight answer. He then slowly slips away from any conversation by making
excuses or just simply putting on his big headphone and pretending not to hear anything.

On the way back, he felt a painful sting in his stomach. It was five in the evening, and
he did not even have any food that day. He did remember to buy some buns in the afternoon,
but cancels his plan as he was too lazy to even get out of the lecture room as he was really not
in the mood to even eat. When it was finally the time to go home, he walked lazily along the
sidewalk and didnt even care for anything. Then it happened. The striking killing pain he felt
tingling in his stomach. He tried to hold it in but it overpowers him in so many different ways.
He remembers the fragrance of red rose perfume lingers before he passed out. Then it all went
black.
Clearly, he was living on another part of the world, or so he thought when he saw what
was around when he was finally awake. The golden shine of the drapery completed with a set
of leather sofa, the kind that you will only see in movies. His head were heavy. He couldnt
think of anything. He did not know how or when he did get in this mystery luxurious room.
Soon after, he heard what appeared to be some chatters outside of the room. He didnt care
much for it and continued to observe the room with awe. Not long after, two people came in.
They were dressed neatly, and looked very serious. The man was a big gentleman, equipped
with a fierce looking moustache and a pair of killer eyes, while the woman were a middle
aged women, almost looked like his mother, with warm smile and long braided brown hair.
They served him porridge and a glass of milk. He didnt hesitate much as the growling sound
of his hunger starts to fill the room. He ate the porridge as quickly as he possibly can. There
were traces of porridge all over his face. He looked like a toddler. He didnt even cared for the
pair that were there with him, nor did he heard them going out. When he finally finished, he
noticed the air around him seems different. It was somewhat lovely. He turns his head around
to see an angel, with a very bright smile looking at him. He did not know how to respond to
the smile and just sat there, frozen solid. She took a napkin from the table and wiped his
porridge covered face. He wanted to say many things, but nothing came out of his mouth. He
remembered the sensation was something he knew all along. She was the girl from the dream.
Soft, a very smooth voice came out of her mouth asking if he was okay. It took him
almost a minute to answer. His trembling voice somehow spew ridiculous nonsense, asking
her if in any way they had meet before. She just smiled and carried away his finished meal
and went out shortly after. He wanted to stop her from going out, but it was too late. He was
mesmerized by the beauty of what he thought was an angel. A few minutes later, the pair
came back in and brought all his stuff with them. Its about time to go home now, he thought.
It was dark outside, but he can see lights from other blocks of houses and thought to himself,
he never did goes to that part of town before. He changed his clothes, thanked the pair of
employees and went straight out from the mansion. I can find my way back home, at least.
That he was certain. He took out his phone and it was about eight in the evening. He walked
slowly, dragging his feet along trying to look for a bus station if there was any around that
block. He did felt some pain in his stomach. Maybe the food was not enough, but it was good
enough to keep him from dying of hunger. He walked along the sideway, thinking of the girl
he met earlier. She must be the perfect girl, living in a mansion with a very beautiful face and
a lovely voice. She will never be within my grasp, he thought again as he was sitting down at
a bus station, at around four blocks from the mansion he just came out of. He can still see the
glamorous yellow rich lights coming out of the mansion. He sighed and then sat down quietly

waiting if there were any buses that travelling through the area. Not long after, what he
thought was a buss light covered up his sight and he thought that finally, he will be going
home again, to his lonely castle. He stood up and began to wave his hands. He was at an
impression that a bus would never expect a passenger from that area. When the lights finally
got closer, he could see the three lines arranged as a peace sign in front of the car. It was one
of the most luxurious car brands in the world, the Mercedes Benz. It stopped directly beside
him. He did not expect that the car was stopping for him. But something intrigued him to look
closer who was inside the car.
He smiled like an idiot while watching the black silhouette emerges from the
blackness of the car. It was the girl from the mansion. She asked him what was hurrying him.
He simply answer that he might overstayed his welcome and needed to go back home. The
girl laughed and asked him to get in the car. He hesitated for a moment and went inside
shortly after. On the way back, the girl was smiling at him. He was lost for words. He did not
know what to say or do in that situation. He began to regret his decision to enter the car.
Maybe the owner of the mansion wants him to work there as a compensation for the care he
was given. He thought of many things, but none will ever really come close to what is actually
happening at that moment. He entered the mighty mansion again with humbleness and a bit
terrified. She must have seen his pale face. She smiled gently, and took his hand. She said that
everything will be alright. What will be? He did not even know of what purpose he was taken
back to the mansion. The pair came into his aid. They said their sorry for the
misunderstanding earlier and escorted him into a big hall, almost as big as the third hall for
physics back in campus. The difference was the hall was not equipped with lab equipment,
but a very big luxurious long table used in dining. He was instructed to sit at the front, and
being told to stand up when the master came in. Master?
He did not finished following his train of thought about what will happened when a
large and buff figure came out of the shadow of an opening door. He was accompanied by the
rose girl. She entered with grace and with a very beautiful gown. He instinctively stood up
and bow to the man. The white haired buff gentlemen smiled and greeted him with a
handshake. He sat down and invited him to sit. He was confused and just followed the order
he was given. As soon as he sat down, the man said with a large echoing voice, Are you the
one that will marry my daughter, lad? He almost fainted when he heard the exact words
came out of the mans voice. His stomach was growling in pain, as if someone struck the
sweet spot with a pitchfork and tossed it around. He did not answered directly but just stayed
there frozen for about fifteen seconds. What do you mean, sir? he asked. The man just let
out a very loud laughter to the question and looked directly into his eyes. Okay, thats it, Im
marrying my daughter to you
