Karyofyllis Tsiakitzis
Born in Serres in 1973, he lives in Thessaloniki since 1991. He gained a
Pharmacy degree from the School of Pharmacy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
(AUTh) in 1998. In 2009 he was inaugurated Doctor of Pharmacy in Medicinal
Chemistry (AUTh).
Between the years of 2000 and 2006 he participated in several research
projects as an academic researcher, under the supervision of prof. P.N. Kourounakis.
In 2009 he gained a postgraduate scholarship from AUTh s Research Committee.

His fruitful collaboration with several other national or international research institutes
resulted in the publication of fourteen original research papers. His main research
activities were focused on the pharmacochemical investigation of stress and the
treatment of several neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimers disease.
He serves as hospital pharmacist since 2006, working in the General Hospital
of Thessaloniki G. Papanikolaou. He is a member of board of the Panhellenic
Association of Hospital Pharmacists (PEFNI) since May of 2016.
